National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is a national observance that was established to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as fostering greater use of flu vaccine after the holiday season into January and beyond. This year's NIVW (originally scheduled for December 6-10, 2009) is now rescheduled for January 10-16, 2010. Good thing this was conveniently rescheduled until after the Holiday season. It seems that the flu mysteriously disappears during these times only to resurface when we've spent all our money. This week's Schedule of Focus: Sunday, January 10 Kickoff Monday, January 11 General audience and health care workers Tuesday, January 12 People with chronic health conditions that put them at high-risk of serious influenza-related complications Wednesday, January 13 Children, pregnant women, and caregivers of infants less than 6 months old Thursday, January 14 Young adults (19 through 24 years old) Friday, January 15 Seniors Saturday, January 16 Wrap up |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 849249Sorry, but WTF? No joke. Why are they going to churches to speak about getting vaccinated from the government? They don't let church groups go to government buildings and speak about anything. |

Presidential Proclamation- National Influenza Vaccination Week A PROCLAMATION Since the first United States cases were identified in April of last year, our Nation has witnessed the worldwide spread of the H1N1 influenza virus. To date, tens of millions of Americans have contracted this virus. While the vast majority of those affected have recovered without incident, an unusually high proportion of children and younger adults have developed serious complications, resulting in hospitalization or even death. We know that influenza vaccination is the best way to protect ourselves against the flu, and my Administration moved swiftly to respond to this threat by assisting in the development of a vaccine, which is now widely available and has shown to be both safe and effective. Every American has a role to play in fighting the H1N1 flu. Expectant mothers, children, young adults, and all those under the age of 65 with chronic health conditions are at high risk for H1N1 flu-related complications and should get the vaccine as soon as possible. Those not at high risk can protect themselves and prevent the virus from spreading to more vulnerable members of their families and communities by getting vaccinated as well. This week presents a window of opportunity for us to prevent a possible third wave of H1N1 flu in the United States. I strongly encourage those who have not yet received the H1N1 flu vaccine to do so. Visit flu.gov to find vaccination sites in communities across our country and to stay informed. Together, we can all fight the H1N1 flu and help protect our families, friends, and neighbors. NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim the week of January 10-16, 2010, as National Influenza Vaccination Week. I encourage all Americans to observe this week by getting the H1N1 flu vaccine if they have not yet done so, and by asking their families, friends, and co-workers to do the same. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand ten, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-fourth. BARACK OBAMA [link to www.whitehouse.gov] Of course he didn't mention the regular flu statistics or even care to suggest getting vaccinated for the regular flue shot. It's all about the H1N1 for some odd reason. |

The announcement comes just as National Flu Vaccination Week begins. An upstate doctor's office is gearing up in Simpsonville. Saturday the staff at Parkside Pediatrics hosted a mist vaccine clinic to kickoff vaccination week. The week highlights the importance of getting the vaccine even after the holidays. Dr. Justin Moll with Parkside Pediatrics said "if you haven't been vaccinated for the H1N1virus yet, it is still a great idea and very effective thing to do for both your children's health and for yourself." Health officials say restrictions have been lifted and now there is enough of the vaccine for everyone to get it. National Flu Vaccination Week ends Jan. 16. |

Was so sad to see all the elderly who aren't computer saavy to go online and discern the truth, all lined up, believing what their good government tells them on tv, to get this poison. What was really ironic was at the same time, I was interviewing a person who was retired from FEMA and Homeland Stupidity. He knew the truth about these deadly vaccines. He actually told me he and his wife are thinking of leaving the country - because they know what's coming and it isn't good. CONDEMNATION without INVESTIGATION is the HIGHEST form of IGNORANCE |
