He's not shown his cert, medical records or any of his college thesis papers or grades for that matter. Reagan said trust but verify...I don't trust and he's not verified.

well i assume he applied for the passport. i had one in high school, they aren't hard to get. nor was it impossible to travel to pakistan.

I believe in transparency as well but is there really any level of government that is transparent. I mean what's the difference, hanging chads, Florida Supreme court, Diebold, birth certificates... the last THREE elections have been suspect.

YES. When a politician is hiding something, it means he's hiding something. Obama has gone to a lot of trouble to hide his birth records. He's hiding something.

...but he is the president. What is the birth movement going to do about it? Did the hanging chad fiasco amount to anything? Somewhere along the line he had to show some sort of identification in order to run for president, and it was accepted. So now what? Honestly? If people hate him that much there must be a better reason than the BC? That's not gonna amount to anything and it's a waste of time, resources and credibility. Most people think birthers are woo woos btw.

a) he's not "hiding" them. they were already "hidden" because birth certificates in hawaii are not public record.

b) he really hasn't gone to much trouble at all, actually. essentially his lawyers have filed a single motion to dismiss for each court case that came up, and that's really all there is to it.

You're absolutely right. I should have named this thread something better. Like... "The birther movement has no legs" or something. It is the extreme right winged republicans that are promoting this issue though and my message to them was that this is a bit of a credibility issue. NOTHING is going to come of this. It reminds me of trying to impeach Clinton for a bj. You knew he wasn't going to be impeached, and it cost a lot of money and resources to go through. Waste of time in my opinion. Is there something better to nail him on?

I am not a republican. I voted for obama. Now that I know that he was not eligible to so much as run for the Presidency for several reasons, I want to see the birth certificate.
If he as spent almost 2 million dollars to keep it sealed. The only reason could be is that it proves he is not a citizen.
He has not even taken the courses and test to become a citizen. He clearly stated there are 57 states, meaning he doesn't even know how many states there are.
There are 50 US states. There are 57 Muslim nation states.
He applied for college funds as a citizen of Indonesia.

His parents were not both US citizens. He is not eligible.
He is an Indonesian citizen. He is not eligible.
He is was not born in the US. He is not eligible.
He refuses to provide the most basic verification of his identity and birth records. He is not eligible.

In fact, without his birth certificate, he is not eligible to apply for a temporary visa, work permit, or driver's license.

If you can even pose such an utterly STUPID question, then a "YES" is probably beyond you.

When he actually produces one... an actual long form birth certificate with the attending doctors signature. Hasn't happened yet. It would be so simple, but instead he has spent over a million dollars defending himself in court and elsewhere instead of producing the exact same thing I had to hand over to get my drivers license.

Oh, and the "Certificate of Live Birth" that he posted on the internet is something anyone in Hawaii can get once the parents of the child have lived their for a year. It doesn't mean that is where he was born.

2 million dollars - man, people just keep inflating that number. too bad that report was about money spent over the course of the entire campaign, there was nothing that specifically tied any of it to the lawsuits. it would be nearly impossible for his lawyers to spend that much filing motions to dismiss lawsuits.

57 states - he misspoke, there's been no evidence to show he "doesn't know" how many states there are.

parents not being citizens - both parents don't have to be citizens to confer citizenship, unless born out of the country.

indonesian citizenship - so he was a dual citizen at one point, it's not illegal, nor does it disqualify a person from being president.

not born in the us - prove it.

college funds as an indonesian student - that bullshit article was a hoax. the scholarship in question isn't available to undergraduate students, and as the story claims, he used it for occidental college. come on.
