JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts.

The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh.

A New York lawyer, Steven Stein, says that, in addressing the Yale Club of Greenwich in 2007, Koh claimed that "in an appropriate case, he didn't see any reason why sharia law would not be applied to govern a case in the United States."

A spokeswoman for Koh said she couldn't confirm the incident, responding: "I had heard that some guy . . . had asked a question about sharia law, and that Dean Koh had said something about that while there are obvious differences among the many different legal systems, they also share some common legal concepts."

Score one for America's enemies and hostile international bureaucrats, zero for American democracy…

Best Buy Extends Islamic (But NOT Thanksgiving) Greetings

When giant retailers blatantly cater to them, despite whom it might piss off.

And when it ignores a major American holiday in favor of the Islamic one.

Best Buy has gone down that path, forsaking the American majority for the Islamic minority.

If you’re planning on doing your post-Thanksgiving holiday shopping at Best Buy, you might think twice about carrying any ham or bacon around or even wearing your pigskin boots.

In its latest weekly circular, Best Buy wishes you a Happy Eid Al-Adha .

But Best Buy pointedly does NOT wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Eid Al-Adha is the Islamic festival of sacrifice, one of the two major Islamic holidays.

The other is Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid Al-Adha is based on the Islamic fraud and revisionist history that Abraham took Ismael, not Isaac, to be sacrificed when commanded by G-d.

Complete baloney.

But, hey, it makes Muslims feel good.

Still, most Jews and Christians should be offended by this controversial holiday endorsement by Best Buy for that reason alone...

Los Angeles Firm Launches Islamic Hedge Fund

Los Angeles-based Palisades Park Capital has recently launched its first two hedge funds, including a Sharia-compliant vehicle.

The firm unveiled its Palisades Park Multi-Strategy fund in mid-October, following it up with the launch of the Mizaan LP fund in November.

Self-Imposed Dhimmitude Update: It is now twelve days since I first posted about how Google is censoring negative search suggestions on Islam, and six days since the mighty Internet giant claimed that this was not dhimmi self-censorship, but a "bug," and would soon be corrected.

Twelve days, six days, and the best minds at Google, a pioneer and master of Internet technology, can't seem to figure out how to wire their search box so that it pops up suggestions for "Islam is" that are comparable to the suggestions you get for "Buddhism is" or "Hinduism is" or "Christianity is."

Try it for yourself.

Search for "Christianity is" at Google and a host of negative recommendations pop up.

It's the same thing for "Buddhism is," "Hinduism is," etc. But when you search for "Islam is," no negative recommendations come up -- indeed, no recommendations at all…
