Stocks climb as manufacturing, spending increase

Get a load of this line:

"The government also says Monday that consumer spending and personal income rose in December."

Now is that a fact? We might (MIGHT) dismiss the rise in consumer spending as the last gasp of consumerism for christmas, but I seem to recall merchants claiming sales were FLAT.

But this really grabs me - the part about personal income.

HOW CAN PERSONAL INCOME RISE WHEN MILLIONS ARE LOSING THEIR JOBS EVERY MONTH?

Which of you out there has received a 30% raise to cover the job losses in the income aggregate? ALL of you, if we're to believe the government.

Then there's this:

"Factories are increasing production as customers replenish inventories."

What factories? About the only thing America makes anymore is socks. I guess we're all buying millions of pairs of socks? Or we all bought socks for christmas.

This is beyond retarded. Reporters don't even bother to check facts - they just print the crap they're fed.
