I'm not an Obama supported but I do have a problem with misinfo.

How about titling the thread "I haven't been able to find anyone who remembers Obama at Columbia College?"

And a reminder also that just because you've been somewhere doesn't mean you are going to make an impression on people.

Photos of Obama that were in the Columbia yearbook. Pretty tough cover-up to accomplish. I wonder how many other copies of that yearbook are in houses all over U.S..

what would be the point of telling everyone that you knew obama at columbia?

i mean, i can see how it would come up in passing in a conversation, but i fail to see why some of you think that this information needs to be brought to the masses. these people are all normal people with normal lives, and they likely don't care enough to show up on the news as a person who knew obama. nor does the news likely care about giving airtime to such a person, because it's a NON-STORY.

i love how some of you use a lack of evidence as proof.

Oh please, that's why all the silly Reality Shows are so popular and American Idol...the average Americans would stampede at the chance of their 15 minutes of fame. And news worthy news....Again, please....I knew Britney in High School, news at 11. Like we have good news on the MSM anyway.
Sorry pal, I'm 48 years old...30 years since High School and 24 years since College, no problem remembering my peers. Maybe you have contracted a similar form of amnesia as Barry.
I also would like to point out...after reviewing the BC of Obama's, looks fake to me. My BC has all kinds of information on it. Parents names, mothers maiden name, addresses, occupations, hospital name, address, etc....WTF

Story is suspect, IMO...
It has waaaay too much pointless detail and not enough "OMG I know the Prez!"...
The person is undoubtedly real and traceable, but the meeting and 'coincidence' of traveling across country to same school, blah, blah, blah reads like a contrived persona to fill the bill for an "old acquaintance".

There should be more. Has anyone else piped up about parties, study groups or Anything? I haven't seen them if they have.

Obama has a DEGREE from Columbia. It's not something that you just pick up off the Internet. But since you obviously don't have one yourself, I can see why you get all worked up about nothing.

i want you to find for me a single doctor that has come forth as having delivered any of our past presidents. if you can't then i have no choice but to assume that they were never born.

Stephanopoulos of ABC news said the same thing during the '08 campaign. He too was a classmate of BO's at Columbia class of 1984. He said he never had one class with him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root said of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.

I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever!

Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding."

Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. And I never met him in my life and don't know anyone who ever did.

At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.

No one ever heard of Barack or Barry Obama!

And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was.

The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. That's very strange.

"Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.
