I got a similar email quite a while back but never replied to it. But I'll be the first to agree Yahoo's email has been running slow lately. 95% of the time I have to reload individual messages as in "Trouble loading...click here to try again"

Yeah, the grammar mistakes, and asking for info that I never gave them to open the account, gave it away. I already deleted them both as spam. This one is much more convincing than the last one I got. It almost looks official with the working links included.

Haven't logged into Yahoo in a long time. Just did - they wanted my cell phone number, in addition to the standard BS, but nothing else.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Got the same with hotmail - ever since I added my email in my signature.

oh, that reminds me. I had one last week for paypal. Wanted me to update my information. Except I'm pretty sure I never tried to get a paypal account. It looked really legit.

Hahaha! No way you'd have to wonder if that was bullshit, E.T.!
I have not received anything similar, yet, but I'll sure be on the lookout for it. Those free e-mail services don't bother to send messages to people about deleting dead accounts. The scammers must think there are a lot of idiots around, even more than we all think there are.

hey i got the same email too. but before i had to reply, i decided to search for it instead. when you reply the e-mail address that you will reply to becomes like this:
[email protected] - it doesn't seem to be an "admin" email address to me.
