I think we are arguing word meanings here. Herod enlarged the 2nd Temple. All Jewish authorities at the time confirm this and today call Herod's Temple the 2nd Temple

Now I do agree that thru Christ God's Temple is the believer,but God is not thru with Israel,there will be another Temple :)

The 3rd temple is new jerusalem which the bible says comes down fromheaven. Which indicates it's Part of god's Kingdom. The king of that kingdom is Jesus and he rules from heaven. while the subjects of that kingdom remain on earth proverbs 2:21-21 So the Kings started being sealed with the formation of the christian congregation in the 1st century. So the third temple is in heaven. The Nation of Isreal today as awhole are rejected by god because they reject the Son. The christian congregation acepted the son and there for became spiritual israel. The Kings of gods kingdom until the proper number of them were sealed to sit on the 12 thrones were the first 12 apostles. when Judas betrayed Jesus. they cast lots for the new King of the 12th tribe or throne. there are 12 thousand kings residing on each throne of the 12 tribes.

Herod the Great Begins the Third Temple

In 63 BC, Romans incorporated Judah (what is now Palestine) into their empire as Judea and placed the Jewish lands under kings. Appointed to these kingships was the Herod dynasty, a family of Jews who gained favor with the Romans. The Herodian family ruled over the Palestinian area from 40 BC until around AD 100. The most significant member of this famiy was Herod the Great, who ruled from 37 to 4 BC....

But his most notable achievement was the building of a temple in Jerusalem, which was begun in 20/19 BC and finished in 63 AD, long after his death in 4 BC. This was known as the Third Temple.

Rebuilding the temple started in 20 BC. Herod used the same type of soft white stones that were used for Solomon's Temple. There were 10,000 workmen, and 1,000 of them were priests trained as carpenters since the law prohibited laymen from entering the temple itself.

The Gospel went to the whole world - Gentiles. The old covenant was replaced with a new one. All the promises are transfered to those of the faith worldwide.

Jesus is the vine. All can believe in Him.

The temple in Israel will probably never be built. Only the wicked globalist know for sure. Either way it is meaningless, biblically.
