I'm sorry some of those green jobs did go to Americans,,,,,American prisoners.

United Solar Ovonic, a Michigan-based company which manufactures solar panels laid off 80 employees from it's Greenville plant in New York state as those jobs will now go to 160 prisoners from Otisville,NY.



WTF!?! Prisoners! That is bullshit. So they taking jobs from the people that are trying to support their families and give it to criminals. People who are most likely in jail for committing a crime. I think 80 jobs to people who need the money is way more important then 160 to prisoners. They probably did it so they won't spend too much. Exactly what this country needs, more ppl fucking things up.


It is a way to get around those pesky labor laws. Unless Andy Stern decides to unionize prison workers.



Yea, it's mostly prisoner contractors. My dad once told me that they use to pay 10 cents for each furniture item a prisoner would build. I don't think state prisons do that though. I wonder if prisoners are more productive then regular workers. Could they possibly doing this for more productivity at a low price?
