Johnny Weir was by far the most entertaining sketer in the long program but he didnt do enought to win. the Japs all fucked shit up. so Evan wins because he was the most marginal and average. Plushenko's jumps were some of the ugliest he's ever done. No arc to them at all, he was not only vertical but over extended on one of them and hit the ice like a sack of potatoes. Evan's choreography was way more elaborate than Plushenko's. But that's Elvis' problem and why he never rose to be a gold medalist, because he doesn't really know how to skate like a champion so I can see why he thinks Plushenko was robbed. It was not Plushenko's best performance. Did not look anything like his short program. The judges got it dead right. |

I don't agree the performance was worse than Plushenko who had jumps out of kilter and not nearly the footwork. I thought it was a toss up when I watched it but I don't have all the technical knowledge of the judges. If Canada is going to be this vocal about their own Olympics, where is their Canadian champion? They look like sore losers and bad sports because they can compete in very few sports at the gold medal level. |
