Sandi_T User ID: 873093 United States 06/05/2010 11:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I see what you're saying. The third cam down on the left does keep showing yellow bursts of what do look like fires. But it's underwater, so it seems like the conditions would have to be extremely exact for even these short bursts of "flame." No more requests in the "Strangest things" thread please. :hf: Past Lives requests thread: Thread: That Which Once Was: Past Lives |

Sandi_T User ID: 873093 United States 06/05/2010 11:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i think the dome itself is yellow. Quoting: Mujahidit just appears that way because it is engulfed in oil. I dunno, sometimes it's obviously the dome showing through. But other times, it seems to swirl outwards along with the plume. Which unless it's a plastic, flowing dome, it shouldn't be doing. No more requests in the "Strangest things" thread please. :hf: Past Lives requests thread: Thread: That Which Once Was: Past Lives |

North Texas (OP) User ID: 989619 United States 06/05/2010 11:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | pan up please Quoting: Anonymous Coward 914377Yes,please do pan up! I would think if there was fire inside the plume that we would be able to see it on one of the other views. I have not even caught a glimpse of the dome on the other views though. No orange at all except in that one view. I feel pretty good about it not being fire though because sometimes the plume will have enough of a break so that the bright yellow dome appears quite clearly. |

It looks very much like fire within the plume, doesn't it? But... Where would it get oxygen to BURN? No O2, no fire, it's that simple... and at 5000+ feet underwater, there ain't no O2... |
