Going on your logic, being baptized by the Holy Spirit, listening to His voice, and even praying is evil also. When it comes to the Almighty and His Word, there is no evil. Come on.......use discernment here. When you start to attach evil connotations to Holy things such as prayer and the Bible, you are walking away from the Holy Spirit. Think about it. I feel very strongly about this. Asking a question and opening up a book to get the answer is divination. As soon as I ran across this definition I knew for sure that I have been in error. Here, I found some videos that show the Bible can be used for unholy purposes. Before being so quick to accuse me of walking away from the Holy Spirit, just sit with it awhile. I just watched a few seconds of the first video you posted and turned it off immediately.... it is from the pits of hell! I don't think I've EVER SAID THAT BEFORE HERE ON GLP!!! SO TAKE THAT AS A WARNING!!! What he says about the BIBLE and SCRIPTURES is the BIGGEST LIE the devil can make.... ARE YOU LISTENING???? THE BIGGEST!!! PURE HERESY!!!! THE BIBLE IS THE NUMBER ONE ARSENAL THAT CHRISTIANS HAVE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE. THE WORD IS THE POWER OF GOD. That video it total failure and that poor man is a servant of the FATHER OF LIES. Sorry, to have to be so strong on the subject.... but I WILL DEFEND THE WORD OF GOD WITH MY LIFE. |

If I could do it again I would choose a different video as an example. The whole point I was trying to make with that video, is that some churches twist doctrine, or take things out of context. Thanks for pointing out the video and making me watch it again carefully. I want everyone to know that I hold the Holy Bible in highest esteem and believe in reading it in context. |

This thread is a forum for us Christians to both fellowship and discuss Christianity related topics. We do not all have to agree on everything here- other than the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord and savior. I am not saying that any of you (other than Mary lol) are attacking, or accusing one another here, but please try to keep this in mind. We are all entitled to form our own interpretations on the information that is posted here. Our opinions are just that, opinions, and only the Lord knows what is truth, and what is false. We are adults here, and we all have been around the block enough to know that none of us has all the answers. There is no one among us (other than Christ) who can say with absolute certainty that our opinion is the truth. We should all be allowed to express our thoughts without expecting others to agree or disagree here. One day we shall all have the answers we are searching for, but until then let us remember that we are all brothers and sisters in the Lord, and above all, we need to recognize our differences of opinons and love one another regardless. Please Lisa, don't stop posting on this thread b/c you feel you have been attacked. I'm the OP here and I have been attacked on numerous occasions lol.
