Russian ships

Well, you know, Russia does have strong economic and resource ties with Syria, with over $20 billion worth of invested in the country.

Russia had barely anything to do with Libya, so now you know why they are strongly involved and trying to keep the west at bay.

Syria is a bridge between Iran and Lebanon, Hezbollah is in Lebanon and that's how Iran provides them with weapons to resist Israel. Strengthening the Syrian rebels to put down Assad's regime is one of the plans to stop the weapons Aid to Hezbollah. England and France never cared about Arabs except weakening them in smart ways for the sake of Israel.

There are probably 10 times more Russian passport holders, hence having the Russian citizen status, in Israel than there are in Syria...

Russian naval vessels aren't there to help defend Syria as many want believe IMO, all they'll do if the US/NATO decides to attack Syria is evacuate their citizens from Syria and then help defend Israel and its 20% of Russians from eventual Syrian retaliation...

Wrong.... Russia will protect Syria for two reasons. First Syria is buying billions in military weapons from Russia. Russia does not wants to give up those contracts.

Second even more importantly...Syria is a very strategic military point for Russia. Russia's ONLY Naval base on the Mediterrian is located on the Syrian coast. Russia will not let this go for strategic reasons!
