[quote:Anonymous Coward 8084990:MV8xOTQxOTczXzMyNTMyNTQ2X0Q2NkRFRjE1] Also look at the solar wind coming to a crawl. This made it a lot worse. There was no resistance. Nothing to have to push through. so the speed could have increased quite a bit on the leading edge. Each event has to be examined with all its elements. Now we have seen even a very small flare with a fast CME can tip the scales on an already shaky grid. [/quote]

Why are India's Power Grids REALLY Failing? Please share any thoughts and data you might have.
My best theory:
We're seeing the first and horrifying signs of solar flares damaging Earth's power infrastructure as predicted by physicists. We're not being told about the magnitude of the flares, and the the real reason why India's power grid was overwhelmed and shut down. Physicists have predicted this, and if the solar flares start hitting the United States, we'll be no better off than India.
Nether would most of the rest of the world. Be prepared people! Make connections with friends and family, stock up on food... This WILL happen to us as soon as a major flare whacks our side of the planet.
In another thread right here on GLP, a person from India confirms their outages were NOT due to power overdraw. The mainstream media is covering this up as well as our governments!
