Anonymous Coward User ID: 4266 United States 05/10/2010 09:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know 5 people that have found good paying jobs, private sector, in the last 6/7 months. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 814501I hear talk of all this doom, yet I dont see it. Wlak outside and look at what people are doing.....there are a lot of people,........................working!!! Then you know what they do after work? They go buy stuff, they go to little league baseball games, they get married, they gave funerals, they go have some cocktails and eat out,,,, so, all these guys on the internet claiming doom, for the last 20 years.....are wrong!! Im sorry. They are wrong!! go ahead and try it. Go outside and observe this so called "depression"......lol. at some point the doomers are just going to have to shut the fuck up. I know, I know...its coming....this it.....its coming...this summer, but if not the fall, ........right?????? Our country is flat busted broke. Not only are other countries going down, but the USA is going down. Doom is coming all right. This time, I am nervous. It's one big bubble that is going to burst. Things are way too volatile. If you took away all of the unemployment checks people have been receiving, I would not be safe to be at a little league game! Alot of things are being papered over right now to make everything seem good. Yeah, I read all this stuff, I follow it closely. And I agree for the most part.... But I dont see any of it. Sure there are rough times....but you could make the case for that in any period of time. bad shit happens. Good shit happens. Be prepared. the 60s, the recession of the 70s...early 90s recession. Banking schemes and disasters both man and natural... I think its just been awhile for Americans at least. maybe?? I dont know... But all the talk of Doom and overpopulation and climate change and debt and peak oil/natual resources and immigration and the Wars/WWIII and all the rest of it..... and....I really dont see any doom at all...sure bad things, poor people ....oil spills.....but Doom? Like all these wannabe prophets?? nauhhh...at some point they are just going to have to shut up.... |

Which kinda tells me this is a short-lived up event. Ask the average Greek if they cheer this. The answer is no, for they have had every possible tax raised on them. When reality sets in, these gains of today will likely be erased. |

resistor User ID: 956398 Belgium 05/10/2010 10:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People things are not getting better! i've read an article on rense.com that stated that due to the sudden drop of 1000 points of the dow barack obama urged angela merkel to take drastic measures! And she did furthermore this bail out was denominated in dollars makes you wonder sometimes. Europe does not bail out it's memebers unless it was forced to do so. And it was forced from washington. Just look at the other indexes worldwide they are all retreating big time infact they are continuing the dive especially in the middle east zone russia is also sliding which is realistic when you look at the current economic situation. This rally is so totally bogus. It will rally two weeks i think then afterwards it's rock bottom and defaulting everywhere. |

[link to www.marketwatch.com] The DXY or dollar index is down, but JUST BARELY. The USD should be collapsing now with a 'competitive' currency like the Euro getting such apparent backing. It is not. |

The lower the short term yields and the wider the LIBOR-OIS, etc. the closer we are to TSHTF.
