I posted on another thread, I had a dream last night that the Vatican released what the third secret was and it was that the world was ending in 3 days. In my dream, all TV and radio stations were filled with confirmation that the third secret of Fatima was corroborated by current events.

I hardly ever remember my dreams but this one was odd.

I agree, that has bothered me that all of the Popes have kept the third secret of Fatima hidden away. According to Lucia it was supposed to be released by 1960 and yet, still here we are and the secret still secret.

Kind of audacious of the popes to go against what was supposed to be revealed.

In 1980, Pope John Paul II was asked why the Third Secret was not published by 1960. His answer: "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves."

Seen through the filter of the Fatima prophecies, the Pope's comment regarding "power of Communism" refers more precisely to the subject of "Russia's errors" or more simply the subject of Russia.

In 1992, Malachi Martin writes "In fact, the physical and spiritual chastisements, according to Lucia's letter, are to be gridded on a fateful timetable in which Russia is the ratchet."

In 2000, the Vatican revealed the gist of the undisclosed "words" of the Third Secret when Ratzinger wrote: "Here it would be appropriate to mention a phrase from the letter which Sister Lucia wrote to the Holy Father on 12 May 1982: “The third part of the ‘secret' refers to Our Lady's words: ‘If not, [Russia] will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated'"

In summary, the Third part of the Secret involve the continuation and "elaboration" of the known Second part of the Fatima Secrets. And thus seems to indicate that the "2nd Secret" is more about a post 1960 prediction then about WWII.

Again, the Third Secret would expand upon with extra details regarding a period of:
1) Russia provoking wars and terrorizing the world.
2) the destruction of nations.
3) the violent persecution of Christians.
4) much will exist for the Pope to suffer.
5) and more.

Finally, it is very logical to believe the reason the Vatican released the vision of the "Third Secret" in 2000 was due to the words of the 3rd secret itself having predicted the commencement of the Fatima events to begin by the end of the 20th century...and thus the Vatican attempted to hide such information and resign the Fatima prophecies fulfillment to the past and to the 1981 assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II on the Fatima anniversary day of May 13th. The 2000 release was an attempt to put an end to Catholic speculation about future disaster based on the Fatima Prophecies.

The Best reason to believe the Fatima prophecy remains of the future, is that the nearly 3-month military conflict of 1999 regarding Kosovo, Serbia, Nato, U.S. and partly Russia, is about to be reopened near the end of this year with a major ruling by the World Court regarding the 2008 Declaration of Independence of Kosovo from Serbia. The World Court's ruling will begin the next phase of the struggle over Kosovo, with Serbia and Russia on one side and Kosovo and the USA on the other side. This future Serbian-Kosovo conflict would be the direct continuation of the 1999 Kosovo war and can still fulfill a prophecy about a war at the end of the 20th century leading to the implosion of Russia and the arise of a Russian Hitler type that would bring forth such a period for mankind of "wars and religious persecution" and the annihilation of several nations. In the year 2000, when the Vatican released the Fatima vision, the Serbia-Kosovo war seemed over and done with, peace reigned, and a prophecy about a war at the end of the 20th century seemed to be going nowhere. A decade latter it's possible that the same Serbia-Kosovo conflict reignites with a vengeance.
