I keep it away from food and I use it only when really necessary and only for short calls.

Ever seen this one? Kinda freaky.

Biological effect in blood from pulsed electromagnetic fields

okay... is that supposed to be good or bad?

Since I don't speak German, what exactly is it they are trying to prove here?

But I use a cell phone broadband to surf GLP 10-12 hours a day, so GLP will give me brian damage?

Worry about GLP more than cell fones.
This is an exelent example of what happens when you stop teaching science in school.
There are two types of radiation.
IONIZING

and

NON-IONIZING.

Ionizing has particles coming from it, like gamma rays,
UV, etc, and can kill you in short order.
Stand out in the SUN if you want to be exposed to this deadly radiATION.

Non ionizing is heat, radio waves(including microwave)
and other types of radiation that doesnt include particles.
Heat from a fire is non ionizing, you stand next to it
and dont worry about BUTT CANCER, so why are you worried about a cell fone, which is a million times weaker?

You have more chance of cancer from walking under the ionizing radiation of the sun for a block,
than a million years of cell fone usage .

Shoot a high enough powered microwave beam into your leg long enough and it will cook it, but you wont
get cancer from it.
The dumbest thing is some idiot standing out in the SUN talking about cancer from a CELL FONE.
Like standing next to a hydrogen bomb explosion and complaining about a firecracker

Huh, that must explain the studies showing that cell phones cause cancer. And the leukemia clusters around cell phone towers.

About 8 or 9 years ago, I told my doctor mobile phones were causing cancer. She laughed it away and told me this had never been proven. I wonder what she would say now.

Your doctor has the worlds BIGGEST conflict of interests.

Healthy people = No business

However, brain tumors are ESPECIALLY profitable!

To those who do not believe this:

My uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumor and died within 3 months.

My cousin is currently battling brain cancer, and the very same doctor who had Ted Kennedy as a patient, told him that HIS brain cancer was due to his constant use of his cell phone which he used day and night for his business! He is currently battling the cancer and we dont know yet what is going to happen.

Please limit the use of your cell phones! Dont play around with your lives. My cousin is lucky because he has money and the constant treatments have prolonged his life. At this point though, we dont know yet what's to come : (
SPEAK UP. SILENCE IS DEADLY!

I am currently experiencing life at several WTFs per hour.

Are you out of your mind??? Or just a shill?

As a LONG-time Extra-class ham radio operator, I am an expert on RF radiation. Do you have any idea how many people have died of CANCER over the years, due to chronic exposure to RF? Do you know ANYTHING at ALL, about SAR (Specific Absorption Rate), and WHY these must be taken into account when setting up a station? Do some research.

It is a FACT that RF electromagnetic fields cause all kinds of Biological responses (from much further away than your cell phone), including CANCER. It just hasn't been "proven" that chronic low-power microwave RF radiation from cell phones was the cause of that brain tumor that happened to be on the same side of your head that you had your cell phone plastered to, for 10 years.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 972556

Don't have a mobile phone anymore. Got rid of it some years back when I read some scientific info on RF radation. There have been studies on the effects of low power microwave RF that have shown that it causes damage to DNA, RNA, and individual brain cells. Lots of info on this subject, but much of it is kept in the background because those with so much invested in this type of technology don't want people to stop using it. Depending on where you are the level of exposure to low power RF radiation can negatively effect not only physical, but mental processes. Loss of memory, vision problems, hearing problems, rashes on the skin, and many other things are due to overexposure to RF radiation. There have been scientific studies done where people who were immersed in RF radiation all the time were moved to places where there was little or none and there was a marked difference in their mental and physical behavior. Instead of feeling tense all the time they felt relaxed in the RF free environment for instance. Anyway, theres plenty of info out there to prove there are dangers, but will people listen? Not likely.

Answer = Bad. Blood was drawn from the subject's ear during cell phone use and after analysis has shown blood cells become damaged from radiation after only 17 minutes of cell phone usage. Essentially, the phone is cooking the blood cells, similar to what would occur if a patient had the flu (with a high fever temperature).

With any form of RF based comms, to negate the health impost, use an antenna mounted away from the transmitter. It improves reception and transmission and removes the risk of exposure.

I use a mobile broadband (wi-fi) modem with a small helical antenna on the 2100Mhz band. Being a directional high gain antenna it performs impeccably and I am not drenched in RF energy everytime I send out a signal.

Re: Long conversations on mobile phones can increase risk of cancer, suggests 10-year study
Back in 1993 I was pregnant and the office I worked in had a microwave with a door that didn't seal all the way. The microwave was set on a low table right at abdomen level. I naively continued to use it for breakfast, lunch, sometimes even dinner because as a manager I worked many hours.

I've had three pregnancies and this one was the only one plagued with troubles. I went into preterm labor at 18 weeks. The doctor told me I would most likely lose the baby but prescribed bedrest. After a few weeks I couldn't stand it and went back to work. After a week of using that microwave, preterm labor started again, this time worse and was coupled with overproduction of amniotic fluid (my body's attempt to protect the baby??)

Poor little guy was born needing a breathing machine (even though the doctors could give no reason why and he was born at a healthy 9 lbs 4 ozs) and, though he is gorgeous and highly intelligent in very specific ways, he struggles to learn 'book smarts' or stay focused.

I completely blame that microwave. I tell my kids not to stand near the one we have when it's in use.

And, much to the frustration of my friends and family, I do not own a cell phone.

It's especially bad for teens and children because their skulls are not nearly as thick as adults.

Over on Dr. Mercola's site, he had an article from an Australian neurosurgeon. He said that the incidence of brain tumors in children had doubled due to cell phones in the last 10 years.

Do you know any teenaged girls who might talk a lot on their cell phones? They might be dead in 10 years.

Thank you.

Her name was Ann. She was the greatest girl in the world. She was only 27 when she died in 1998.
