Need to ship, don´t choose Fedex!!

I had a $4,000 server shipped from a Data-Center back to my home, it was co-located there for 1 year.

Fedex delivers the server to me in 3 pieces. It looks like it fell off the ceiling conveyor and landed on the corner, bounceing to the other corner. This twisted everything inside.

-Split the pci´s long ways in half,
-Drove 2 cpu´s (xeon 2.4ghz) pins into the board breaking the cpu pins and board.
-Broke the raid controller and 2 120ghb drives
-Broke the 20/200/2000 GigaBit card,
-Twisted and ripped the 2u rackmount case
-Broke both of the 1gb sticks of RAM.
-Broke the CD-RAM´s main faceplate
-Dented the redundant 550watt powersupply, the side is sitting on the fan.
-Broke 3 of the 9 fans.


It´s a total loss except for 6 fans. I sent the proper paper work into the the claim I filed. I sent copies of the receipts of all the equipment. I did all of this in a timly manor.

Tonight, (through the website) I check on this, the claim is denied ANNND they´re shipping the server back to the data-center instead of to my home. Which all paper work clearly states my home is the recip´s address etc. etc. so now I have to pay for the shipping out to CA (which I didn´t approve) and I am out the $4,000


So now I´m left to seeking a lawyer tomorrow.
