Looks like we found the source of some wierd conspiracy theories ... I bet Lieder, M.L.Hill , D. Icke and others were fans of this series.

Re: MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE
Well if you don't like the videos, maybe you'd like to hear some tunes? This is Geronimo Jackson and a little about them.

LOST: supervising producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz elaborating on the band's back story. They claim it was the brainchild of Keith Strutter, a Kentuckian who ran away from home in the 1960s and wound up in San Francisco. The band's first gigs were at burlesque shows, working their way up to play clubs like the Avalon and the Filmore. They never headlined, but put out one album, Magna Carta, which has been out of print for some time. Kitsis claims that the band disappeared into obscurity in Woodstock, NY in 1971. It was put into Lost as a tribute to an under-appreciated band.

There was a lot of conspiracy/ufo related stuff in the 80s ...

... anyone remember "The Tripods" (80s television series about a society supressed by aliens) ?

They forced the population to wear a friggin' barcode on their forehead. When I was watching it back then I didnt realize and just thought its funny SciFi ... these days I understand.

Re: MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE
In the first vid, the two male interviewees who had relationships with the two missing persons were clearly actors...and not very good ones.

Re: MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE
Starting on July 23, 2009, ABC's official Lost website started posting a 5 part documentary from lost footage from a short-lived 1980s television series "Mysteries of the Universe". In actuality, the brand and its episodes have been created by ABC and the Lost team in 2009 as a promotion for the final season of the show. The fact that a documentary series with a similar name actually did exist in the 1980s, the information provided in the documentary appears credible at first glance - although the presentation contains a healthy portion of humor. The videos contain new revelations about the DHARMA Initiative and the conspiracies that surround it.[35]
