bhaghan User ID: 981837 United States 05/25/2010 11:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will say that the environmentalist don't seem to be angry about real pollution but more motivated by politics to be sure. Quoting: Satya PalvonisHmmm... I wonder if you've met any REAL environmentalist? I don't know abou toyu byut I walk, run, and use public transit most of the time. I'm sitiign in a room and not running the lights while i'm on the computer (a candle shall suffice). I know plenty of people that have made an effort to lower there impact on the environment (and not just in the last 3 years when it bacame "green" to do so)... what have you done? Namaste Yeah what he said. i really appreciate the good info here but some of you disinformation junkies and the like are just spewing hate and division. It's time to link up and ride this out and if you are not for people however stupid we seem to be what are you for BP? we all come from different back grounds but some of you sound like closet elitist's. Shut the f*@k up and please let me read the pertinent issues instead of your drivel. i so humbly thank you idiots who know who you are for your attention in this matter.:) |

Nothing is true User ID: 978939 United Kingdom 05/25/2010 11:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Do you not think they might be sitting with their heads in their hands. I mean what do you want them to do - start shouting 'We told you so'? That wouldn't help. Many of these people protest against things like deep offshore drilling because they fear that accidents like this could happen. They don't profess to have a solution for it. They just know that it's a risky thing to do in an environmentally/ecologically sensitive area. What do you want them to do? 'We told you so!'? I would imagine that many are sitting in quiet despair, much like the fishermen and many others in the area who depend on the gulf for their lives and their livelihoods. 'Where are all the environmentalists?' - They were there 5 or 10 years ago, telling people not to drill there. It's a fucking tragedy. Everything is permitted.. |
