I still think the risks outweigh the benefits since it could fracture the rock sufficiently that one could end up with an unconrollable leak. IF they are going to do something like this how about a couple of tests first? Sure nuclear tests are prohibitted but this is a case where I would want to see some real world tests first since the repercussions of a failed nuke blast would definitely be horrific. |
