Irish aid vessel still sailing for Gaza, ‘most serious consequences’ promised if passengers harmed

Irish humanitarian aid ship the MV Rachel Corrie is still sailing for Gaza, in spite of Israel's recent, devastating attack on other vessels in the Gaza aid flotilla, resulting in at least nine dead activists and hundreds of prisoners.

The ship, named after 23-year-old U.S. peace activist Rachel Corrie -- who was crushed to death in 2003 by an American-built bulldozer operated by the Israeli army -- has been pleading with the international community to pressure Israel into leaving them alone.

The Irish government, for its part, has threatened Israel with "the most serious consequences" if any Irish national, captured or currently aborad an aid vessel, is harmed.

"If any harm comes to any of our citizens, it will have the most serious consequences," Taoiseach Brian Cowen said, according to The Irish Times.

"Taoiseach" is the position bestowed upon the individual who leads Ireland's government.

what i don't get is why the ships didn't go to the Israel port where the goods would have been offloaded, checked for weapons, etc, and then forwarded to Gaza.

instead, they acted STUPIDLY.

What "ships" are you speaking of? Is there another ship that has bypassed the barricade and been shot in cold blood I'm not aware of?

As for the one I do know of, and this current one on it's way:

Israel does not own the sea, try as they might. If they pull the same stunt they did last time with this ship here I grantee war will result.

european aid organizations wanted to deliver concrete and construction iron to gaza, to build the homes israel demolished in raids.

israel doesnt want that, instead wants to increasingly remove palesine presence and resettle those places. therefore, they found an excuse saying 'they will build missile ramps with those' and refused to let those material in.

since israel didnt provide any agreement on the construction mats, german organizers decided to directly go to gaza.

also, Eu and UN wants the gaza blockade to end.

What the Remphanians don't comprehend or appreciate is the fact that, as we move towards the Tetragrammaton event horizon, the singularity's feedback loops intensify logarithmically.

The resulting amplified feedback resulting from their own actions will prove terminal for them at this point.

Sucks to be them!

Hey DOUCHEBAG, read the fucking story, not from the Palistein POV either...read the real story. They let 5 ships be boarded and docked. In fact, Israel even said, let us help offload and it'll be delivered to the UN for disbursement. Only the 6th ship fought. Jesus Christ, stop being a fucking shill for the poor poor people that want to destroy a sovereign nation.

I don't doubt the toughness and vigor of the Irish, but do you guys have nukes? If not, you'll get blown tfu! To my knowledge you have no air force nor navy on the scale of Israel. Not saying I'm against you guys, but just speaking the obvious. I seriously doubt these people will resist pulling out the nukes if they feel like their under attack by multiple countries.
