Sick of this shit!

I've been thinking lately about what kind of ideas I would have about god if there had been no such things as the bible or church or disinfo.

I wonder what the natural thought process would be if I had never been told that I was created? Would it be automatic that I would conclude there was a creator, or would I just accept that life just IS?

Unfortunately we will never know.

Organized religion is all about control in my opinion. Common sense is a better way to live your life. Have your own thoughts we all know right from wrong. Why do we need a book or scroll to tell us how we should fucken live, who we should hate and love.

You are born ito a christion or muslim or budda whatever. You are brainwashed from day one not to think for yourself.
So you toe the line or you rebel either way your fucked.

The spiritual diet the world has known in modern times has consisted of low grade infant formula. As a baby, each of us cutting teeth at different ages and times in our life.

Few have progressed to solid food. Mostly because of the interference of the 'deceivers'.

Time for US to stop drinking the milk religion and culture feeds us, (and that milk has soured), to begin our adolescence into a freethinking, loving and joyous people.

The very satisfying meal of meat that true spirituality brings must include an appetiser of allowing,a portion of forgive/forgetfulness, the staple being love.

The feast begins. Enjoy, eat hearty and know that you are loved.

Do you feel the love? Isnt it wonderful.

That's the key to the problem - the word "organized".

I think the belief in something higher than us is just part of our make-up but it would sure be nice if each could come to his/her own conclusions and feelings on it and leave others alone in their own beliefs.

When people would ask my husband and I what religion we were he would always say "The Church of the Pines".

What frightens me is Satanism. All about pleasure. There's no way around it.

fully agree...i do some computer stuff for a small local church cos i like the pastor and really they are good caring people.

The only "problem" is he keeps trying to convert me. I told him just yesterday that I have never believed in god, never believed that he had a son who was killed and then rose from the dead and that all the stories in the bible are exaggerated fairy tales. I then told him if I had a button to press to make everyone the world over forget their religion I would press it without hesitation, reaching over to my keyboard and tapping the shift key in demonstration.

I told him this politely and I could see he didn't like it but we are friends and he also knows that while i am serious that I respect his right to worship who he likes ( in the total absence of this amazing end religion button of course lol )

The real problem is not my friend the pastor but people with extreme views who use religion not to be a happy family church but as a tool of hatred in politics.

And I know 100% he will try to convert me again

OP, one thing I have noticed about religions is that the religions of indigenous people seems to work better for their community than the so-called civilized religions.

Take for example the Native Americans. They lived their religion. But they didn't go around trying to convert other tribes to their specific religion. Nor did they try to convert the whites.

Maybe it works if religions remain on a small scale and act as a unity for people who live in small groups.

But the larger, organized religions of the "civilized" world reign havoc and mayhem and hate on each other.

I use my words without religious connotation. Still I'm aware of their implications, etc.

For clarity, thus:

Luciferianism: I am god.
Satanism: I exist only for pleasure.
Devilishness: Fuck you too!
