remember 1.get that high school ged 2.try to get some college for computers,healthcare,or to work at a phone co not much else is out there now 3. stay at home as long as you can and save up as long as you can.4. do not waste your money learn to invest it gold,silver coins,some stocks look in the newspaper stick to co's that mad money,mchonald's,pepsi,apple etc 5. if you can't stay home move in with a brother,sister,or close friend...if there are no jobs where you live try to move.learn how to do a reseme,dress for success-sell yourself to the company,try hard look everyday or on the net,buy a foreclosure home...teach yourself a trade there is sooo much info on the net...get a cheap printer and print everything while we still have access to it or go to the library...you all have it easier than we did except we had our mum's at home more and had better jobs but as we all retire the job market will opend up.

I never said I don't have an education. In fact, I have two college degrees. I grow a large organic vegetable garden and play guitar in a band. I don't care about "getting some ass" because I'm a voluntary celibate. There's absolutely nothing wrong with using drugs in a responsible fashion. I see no need for religion, a wife, kids, mortage, etc, because all of these things seem phony to me. I'm not going to live my life based on what someone else told me I should be--I love my life and I'm really quite a happy person with great friends to spend my time with. You really seem to think I'm missing something important, but I don't think so.

Because you sucked as parents, they feel cheated, lost and ill-equipped to succeed.

How successful have has your generation been as parents? There are a lot of "boomer" grandmothers raising children your generation abandonned when you realized how hard it was.

Right on. We bought our first 3 BR house, brand new, for $300 down. The PITI was $10 more a month than we had been paying for rent for a two BR apt., with no garage.

Job security was great.

The politicians back then were not so into what they could get out of it themselves.

I don't have a dead end job--I'm self-employed as a part-time musician and part-time horticulturalist/landscaper. That's what my degrees are in. Since you asked. I wouldn't want to do either of those full time because I get burnt out doing the same thing all the time. I need variety, and I have it in spades.

My parents did everything "by the book," got married at 19, had three kids, worked full-time, bought a house, etc. They were far less happy at 30 than I am now. I made sure not to do the same things they did, but to find my own way. I'm happy, regardless. If that makes me a "degenerate," than so be it.
