Does anyone ever smoke weed, then feel like your gonna die?

Occasional paranoia is typical. Freaking out is not. Please don't blame Mary..she's been a gem to me for 25 years.

Maybe a different kind of pot? Or something it's laced with?
Are you guys taking any Rx meds?

Nah, not paranoia...It's like your heart is gonna explode, or just stop. Heart pounds..Can feel it in your neck!

That's called a panic attack friend. Breathe into a paper bag, also raise your left arm, it helps.

Has anything severe happened to her? Anything that may have led her to fear for her life? Some people who experienced life changing accidents or injuries seem to reject things from before the accident/event.

Back in my pot smoking days, my friends would laugh at me because I didn't want to smoke "the good shit." Kripp, chronic, whatever you want to call it. It would make me freak out in this exact way. It would give me panic attacks rather than be the relaxant, sedative that "regular" weed would give me.
There was a time when I used to smoke all the time and it seemed like, when I smoked it all the time, gradually it wouldn't make me feel freaked out, unless I smoked more than I normally would, which was usually only one or two hits. I was never really THAT into weed, because it would make me freak out, even though there was a time that I smoked it multiple times a day. My ex husband smokes more weed than anyone on planet Earth. He smokes pot like other people smoke cigs. lol

When I was going through chemo and surgeries, I used to eat it, or rather chew on it and it seemed to not give me that same freak out reaction. I am sure this is because digesting it releases it into your system slower than smoking it. It also could have been because I was very, very sick. Either way, pot is something I gave up and it was because of the freak out thing that led me to that decision.

If it makes you feel that way...maybe weed isn't for you, ya digg?

Well, she pins all the problems on a 3 day binge we had of MDMA. After that, we were walking having a J, and then she felt like she was gonna pass out..Her head was all messed for a good week or two..

Then we went to go see a movie, she's sitting there, my heart was pounding pretty good (the movie didn't even start yet), and hers was too..She freaked out, had to leave, and sit outside..She was on the verge of getting me to call an ambulance..

Kept happening to her, so she quit..

Well duh!

If it ever happens again drink something with caffeine in it. My friend is a nurse and thats all they do for people that come into the ER when freaking out from weed. She works in a college town so it happens often. Brings them down just enough to let them get their heads straight. I've never freaked out on it though so can't speak from experience.

The thing about smoking weed is it makes more real the reality within the self. It draws the outward stream of focus and directs it inward. This can be very benifical if it was used and not made illegal.

However the unknown use of the substance with this effect can make someone that is having a bit of anxiety in their life have to deal with the deep rooted issues, yet it is falsely assumed as a party drug and those using it often wish to use it to escape rather then cope with life stresses and this can mainfest into a panic attack.

Hard to find that good stuff here....

I was trying to tell her, that she's focusing so much on her heart, how she's breathing, and so on..and thats what was making her freak out..

That, or some bad shit was coming in her head, but she would have said if that's the case..

I think weed is great for the internal 'focus'..it can be very beneficial, yet detrimental at the same time i think.

I get increased heart rate sometimes from weed, goes away shortly after smoking up.

nobody laces weed with anything. i been tokin for 13 years and never even heard of laced weed except on here from people who know nothing of weed (no offense) and from the bullshit they taught us in school.

Weed produces panic attacks in some ppl.

Oh BUT if I drink a beer or 2 and then smoke... I get a good high.

Some people go through what I was describing to my wife this morning as a second puberty in their 30s.

These physiological changes, I think, are intentionally kept out of the general dialogue.

Among others, the primary changes I am speaking about include hightened sensitivity. She's becoming more aware of the world around her. I suppose as people begin to grow beyond the prime child bearing years, they enter a second phase where they become guardians of their herd or tribe.

Remember Transformers...the Autobot Matrix...well some humans have this...her heart beats faster, mind is more sensitive...I already passed this stage years ago. Under the same examples you gave...

I am 100% certain that your GF is going through an additional transformation, like puberty in the sense that it involves changes to the body, but its more like shes becoming a super human. Soon enough someone will try and take control of her, if she doesn't get control of herself.

People like her are special human cases that TPTB like to identify and enslave.

If she makes it through this phase, which is easy with support...your GF is in for the ride of her life and you to if you're not a total dick.

I have never had thta feeling while smoking pot, but one of my buddies who is paralyzed from thw waist down I smoke herb with all the time and once in a while when we have blazed too much he talks about what your explaining. It goes away shortly but he feels like his heart is gonna explode or like he's about to die.

This is not just a personal understanding. There have been clinical trials and that was the scientific findings.

Your GF is going through a second puberty...she only freaks out because this is not talked about as much as the period or erection.

once she accepts what it is she'll be able to continue to enjoy her weed and even take the experience to an entirely different level.

OP...I bet she doesn't even have to smoke much before the symptons begin?

I had a bad acid trip back when I was 18 or so...couldnt smoke pot for years after that because it put me right back into that 'bad trip' zone...

But everything is fine now...maybe smoke MORE and you'll get over it!

nope. once a week and on the weekends keeps me perfectly balanced.

It happens. Drinking alcohol beforehand makes it worse.

It's mostly mental. You just have to say "yes my heart is beating fast, no biggie". Just laugh it off.
