The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. I knew that people are dumb enough to confuse them, so I specifically pointed that out. But even with that precaution in place, you post a statistical study? ah, well... |

Quoting: justone 1003944Well they are all together... banks, pharmaceuticals, oil, media, they all have the same people behind them. And they have forced onto us the idea that cigarettes, mainly tobacco are the primary reason for the present day cancer growth throughout the world. And again it is a "scientific fact" without any scientific study or proof to back it up. Why would they want to do that? Well there is a simple explanation. But first I would like to see if anyone of you can come up with just one scientific study that links tobacco to cancer. ps. scientific study is not, I repeat, NOT a statistical study. Statistical studies are like computer modeling, you can change the variables as long as you don't get the result you were hoping for in the first place. Now young scientific fundamentalist... the race is on... YOu do realise what you are saying is rediculous...don't you? HOw mauch proof do you need that they cause cancer? That's like saying "show me proof that a car can kill you"? Do you want to watch someone get killed by a speeding car befor your eyes? Are you that dense? |

If someone ever smoked ever once in their life, it goes down as a smoking related death. The majority of lung cancer it is known to be caused by Radon gas naturally occurring and after mining operations and construction when they dig up the ground. |

Much of it is from nuclear testing with host dust particles floating around the whole world. And if you are unlucky enough to come into contact with one then it can cause cancer. Quoting: INK 962952The propensity of cancer is inherited. You are far more likely have certain types of cancer (such as lung cancer) if you've had a relative who's had lung cancer. It's a much larger factor than smoking. I quit smoking but not because I'm worried about cancer. It's gotten too expensive, there's too much in the way of social prohibitions now (banned at bars here, cold winters) and it smells awful to me now. I had a co-worker whose husband died of lung cancer and never smoked. But he spent the summer building a deck and didn't wear a face mask while sawing and sanding. Pressure treated wood has all kinds of nasty chemicals. |
