Anonymous Coward User ID: 1007741 United States 06/18/2010 05:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was great for all sorts of illegal stuff - mp3s, porn (of course) and pirated software... but times changed... and so did I... mp3s suck because I can't stand what passes for today's "music" (and I use that term loosely)... porn sucks because, well, its just stupid porn and you can find that just about everywhere you look these days... and software became pointless as more and more of it was infected by viruses and trojan horse keyloggers, etc. So... I just didn't even care when Cox informed us and referred us to DejaNews or whatever if we still needed it. Back in the day though (90's) usenet was like a gold mine. |
