Scott Dillon, an archaeologist with the Vermont Department of Historic Preservation, tells the Rutland Herald 16 projectiles were found at one location and appeared to be intentionally buried together. There were also stone working tools, fire-cracked rock and containers for cooking. Dillon calls the findings "rare and priceless.".... ....... Wow, what a find! It gets super cold up there during the long winters, can't imagine how humans could survive 7,000 years ago. |

Back 7000 years ago we had some very nice "Global Warming" and the climate here in Michigan was a lot like that of New Mexico today as we had cactus growing and altelope and javalinas wandering around. BTW one of my most valued possessions is a native spear point from that period. The person that made it was a great craftsman. |

OVRANALYZE User ID: 945551 United States 06/26/2010 08:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's interesting how people actually think the earth has always been the way it is now. People forget that the poles shift, the lands and oceans move, or weather patterns change. We find evidence of such events all the time. Plants and forest in Antarctica or warm blooded animals buried in ice in Russia, etc etc. The fact of the matter is people have lived at one time or another on every piece of land on the globe. We people dismiss things our simple little minds cannot grasp. Remember people actually believed the earth was flat and we were the center of the solar system. |
