Quoting: Anonymous Coward 986890they have to have some skeletons in their closet..? They have had tons of trouble with CPS - no kids here currently. But we don't want them to become vindictive..... bad people. Arrange to have them "liquidated". Your local "Fat Tony" will probably do it for about $5,000. |

No, the freeloaders will be supported by those who break their backs working for a living. You will never be free of the freeloaders! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1031311I know... but they can't be living off of my disabled friend. This is crap. |

Woodsprite User ID: 1038590 United States 07/16/2010 06:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ask them to leave. If they don't leave, call the cops. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 986890It's more complicated than that. If you've let them live in your house, I'm pretty sure you have to formally evict them if they won't leave. No, I don't think so....only if there is a written "rental agreement" between the three of them, would you need an eviction notice. The owner of a home has the right to at any time ask a GUEST to leave their house. She needs to cut off use of the car, stop paying for food for them.....just tell them to leave...and when they refuse, then call the Law to have them forcibly removed. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1038356 United States 07/16/2010 06:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | file an eviction notice, they'll have three months after being served to vacate, or the Sheriff will put their stuff on the street. . . . . . Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9868903 MONTHS?!? Are you kidding me?? Not sure about Texas but probably 3 months if you are lucky and they don't ask for an extension (hardship) Do not htreaten them or accuse them of crimes do not turn off utilities do not impugn their reputations (gossip) to anyone, public or private. They can use any or all of those things to SUE you (your friend) Basically, you are their prosoners until the courts have dealt with them. |

What grounds do you use to get them thrown out? Trespass is about the only one, and they are not trespassing if you invited them to stay, even as little as one night. These are Ohio laws, Texas may be different. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 996767 United States 07/16/2010 07:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You just tell them they have to go. Is there a contract or rental agreement? If there is they have obviously broken the contract by not paying. Start the eviction process if there's a contract. No contract you say "get the fuck out" and call the cops if they don't leave. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1031773 United States 07/16/2010 07:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ask them to leave. If they don't leave, call the cops. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1032867This works, as long as they don't have a lease or any kind of rental agreement. Or they cannot produce a receipt in kind for "rent rendered", in which case they can't prove any agreeement that allows them to stay on or in the property. If there is any hint of "rent" to a situation, the cops won't and can't do much. However, If The Visitors have none of the above - and they do not leave the property/premises when asked to (have witnesses!)- then, call the Police. |

stoidi User ID: 1036925 United States 07/16/2010 11:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Isn't there some sort of agency that protects the elderly? Like they are abusing her. She has something they want to steal from her...her life and home. Free loading is pretty easy when an elder helpless person is involved. Call the local police and ask who you contact. And call any of her relatives that might have an interest in her estate. Warn them about what is going on. Ask them if a family member might want to move in instead. |
