Quoting: PosterchildThe conclusion is unmistakable yes, the planet is warming, said Derek Arndt, a co-editor of the report, called State of the Climate, which was published by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA. The facts speak for themselves, and speak simultaneously, said Mr. Arndt, who runs the Climate Monitoring Branch at NOAA. And, they all point toward the same conclusion the globe is warming. The report co-edited by researchers in the United States, Canada, Britain and Australia pulled together data from 10 climate indicators measured by 160 research groups in 48 countries. The scientists compared the figures decade by decade as far back as possible, more than 100 years in some cases. They concluded 2000 to 2009 was the warmest decade ever, and the Earth has been growing warmer for 50 years. Each of the past three decades 1980s, 1990s and 2000s was the hottest on record, the researchers said. This year is shaping up to be even warmer. For the first six months of 2010, the combined global land and ocean temperature was the warmest on record, according to the NOAA..." [link to www.theglobeandmail.com] 2012 is on a fast approach, people! The Earth, and all Her glory, is holding more people than ever. That alone would and, logically, should increase the temp of the earth. Not to mention the massive loss of topsoil, vegetation and increase in concrete. Of course global warming is real. How do we explain very cold winters, some of the coldest ever? How do we explain some of the mildest summers for parts of the US and the world throughout those time periods? I know there is a breaking point, but are we even remotely close? Look how well the Earth has handled it so far. Pie in the sky theories abound as to why, and how. These are very dangerous and based almost entirely in algoreshit. How can anyone expect the masses to understand or appreciate the situation when the "scientist" give Al FUCKING Gore the Nobel Prize. Seriously, not just being a dick, I am very serious. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1051835 United States 07/29/2010 03:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | By spraying aluminum oxide dust into the upper atmosphere - which they are - they are attempting to reflect the sun's rays out to supposedly cool the Earth's temperatures, which is temporarily trapping warm air in the lower atmosphere; thus causing temporary heating and increased moisture in the lower parts of atmoshere. Above, though, things are literally freezing over and the little bubble they've created is on the verge of being burst wide open, which will send many areas of the planet into a deep freeze and ice age. They aren't causing all of this - but they are playing their part. Here's some numbers to give everyone an idea of what's coming. For instance, over 7 inches of rain fell in the Chicago area in just a few hours the other day, causing major flooding. Guess what 7 inches of rain equals in snow amounts? Roughly 42 inches - close to 4 feet. When these areas are literally buried in the winters to come, don't say you weren't warned. And then all of these scientists, assuming they aren't all dead as this unfolds, will have some explaining to do. |

Yes.. it is hotter than usual this summer. Yes, things are changing... no.. it is not caused by SUVs. No, we should not start taxing cow farts. It's time to grow up and start looking at the bigger picture. Temperatures are changing on other planets in the solar system, the sun is altering it's known patterns.... Something much bigger is at play here than fossil fuels. |

Seriously, not just being a dick, I am very serious. Weather is dynamic and changes with the years with the effects of conditions such as El Niño and La Niña, which are naturally occurring conditions. In previous years, the weather stations would explain these naturally occurring weather conditions to us, and the phase we were currently in and what to expect from the weather because of either El Niño or La Niña. Now we have government power hungry individuals screaming global warming and supporting cap and trade as if humans could control the weather, they attempt to extort money from the citizens in the form of heavy taxes and give themselves the power to use only limited resources. Climategate was real. |

Whether you believe that global warming is bullshit or not, the simple fact is that if we are being fed this slew of insanity, and we are letting them get away with it, then I guess that shows a lot about societies character, in general! |
