It's not always about money, an Aboriginal has turned down becoming Australia's richest man
Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett yesterday said
that the Government, if re-elected, would accept an offer to
incorporate 1228 hectares of land into Kakadu National Park from
the land's Aboriginal traditional owner, Jeffrey Lee. Mr Lee,
who earns A$1000 a fortnight as a ranger in the national park,
could have become one of Australia's richest men if he had
allowed uranium mining on his land

Good for this man. However, I'm sure the government will find some sneaky way to usurp/swindle this man, through hook or crook, to get at the uranium.

yeah I like the story, I have been to Kakadu and it is primeval and stunning, money could never come into it, and yet there are people that would turn it upside down to make money.

He probably doesn't board airplanes. He's probably very happy to live out bush.

I guess it would be hard to get to Teiggys 6.6 bil, but if Australia decided to sell Uranium to India i'd say he would be.
