A short update..it's slowly going better- her head is even tilting less, and she is a bit less wobbly on her feet. The great news s finally we were able to get her to eat yea..what a releaf, and 1 day with no diarrhea. With the eating, her strength comes back. I do think she wants to live at least a bit longer :-) Nights are difficult, she becomes full of anxiety and pants...some if it is that she needs to go out for a walkie- seems she can't hold the peepe as long as before. I am sleeping on an air mattress ear her, so when I hear that I can get some clothes on and take her out. In the days she sleeps, but we have also taken rather long walkies, with the wheelchair. I have checked into Bach flower and aromatherapy- they suggest oil of lavender for calmness, and oil of juniper t get over trauma. Stores are not open here toda, ut tomorrow afternoon when the do open, I will see if I can find these. I did sprinkle her bed with some of my dried lavender from the garden- just a bit, I don't want to stimulate her smelling- just relax and calm her. She does not like chamomile tea. But we are quite amazed and encouraged about the recovery s far- it was just 1 week. Difficult and stresy for all of us. But we continue with lots of care and hopefully she will recover enough to be able to enjoy lie a bt longer and when she chooses to die, do so in a more natural way.
