A couple years ago i got scammed out of some money by a nigerian scam operation, have you heard of this st in bg?



OT....OT...OT... Sorry to interject, but here is a lesson for all to learn about...

So, you really thought somebody in Nigeria liked you enough to give you a big pile of Dollars?...

No!!

Well, sealion, this was back in the year 2003. I had Just heard some bad news about my company, that our cheese production plant just wasnt cutting it/getting by! So the buisness was sold so that the goat cheese production moved to a different plant down south about a couple of hours. *They had more high tech/advanced equipment with a better quality system as our equipment kept breaking down and matenance wasnt all that great at fixing the older machinery*

So we had a goat cheese plant with a cheddar plant. Then another cheese company decided to buy our plant and just make cheddar , so all of us in the goat department were out of a Job unless we wanted to go down south to this plant they were moving to (which is to far from family and loved ones) so i decided to collect the severance pay and collect the unemployment pay!

While at home , nothing to do, no job, money still coming in from unemployment benifits. Having no luck of a job, so this is where the scam begins.

I was searching for online businesses on the internet, so i come across this one that you post cars on your websight to try to sell , a list of cars and such, that didnt work very well for me, no luck their, but that wasnt the scam i'm refering to.

Then I got this email , from a women or man, don't remember which, but they were stating, that their were these big sums of money which their relations have passed away and they needed/wanted to get out of nigeria, so they stated and had these forms which i supposedly had to pay for the fee's in order this money get transfered to my bank account, (I left only $5.00 in my account just in case they were to steal my money) So for my reward in helping this person get to the usa and transfer the money into my bank account and help this individual into the country would be part of the millions of dollars that were inherited by this person, but wanted my help to get into the us as they wanted! Now that i think about it, why couldnt they get themselves , well the letter was so convincing to me, and i paid fee upon fee, and NO!! I won't say house much money i had lost but i am out of debt from it now so i won't say. Another scam was these individual would ship items withen the usa to me and i would ship to them and get some items for my pay, come to find out these items were purchased from stolen credit cards from individuals in the usa. Those were terrible times. The cops finnally caught on to the wiring of money , etc, the end result, they said i was scammed and they werent going to fine me or sentence me to jail or nothing cause come to find out several in the area have been involved in the same scam withen that same time period!! I was young (23) and gullible and greedy at the time!! I wanted to believe it was true the whole time, I ignored all the warning signs cause of my greed!!

Let this be a lesson to anyone who gets these falsified letters. I also recently seen a dateline nbc episode of this same kind of scam and they actually caught some of them, they did a sting operation, but werent able to charge cause of the rules , i guess that would be up to their own government. Whoever may be involved in such just quit now , cause they are mostly scams. I hope this helps even 1 person, hope to hear some comments on this, thanks for reading, everyone that does, Josh.
