“Our concern is that it may be coming from toxins in the waters, something coming from the dispersants that might have been used for the Gulf oil spill,” Gardner told FOX 13 on Thursday.

The birds started getting sick and dying two months after the spill.

[W]ildlife rehabbers who discovered the problem are concerned because they have been seeing an alarming number of gulls and terns die lately.

Unfortunately I do think we have bigger fish to fry, though this is one the pre-ambles. Anyone see the youtube vid of the guy in his private 2 (1?) engine prop plane fly over the spill? He had residue the same color as the oil allll over the forward facing parts of the craft. its already in the air. not only is it making its way UP the food chain (fish to birds etc) its starting there too (in our own lungs).

Corexit makers surely knew ahead of time that they could evaporate oil with their new ingredient

I am more than concerned about the residual effect of that mess because I am moving to Panama City, Florida probably next month. Unfortunately, its not by choice but by necessity.

I have family and friends there and nobody so far has said anything about any problems in the area at all. I will however be on the alert and talk to people I know from the 10 years I lived there before and see if I can get to the bottom of it.
