from a spiritual point of view , considering the state of this planet, it would seem that humanity has not made the spiritual leap forward many predict and more hope for. Most understand that to kill another human is wrong but not many understand that to kill another animal is probably also wrong, as wrong as taking any life, what if this is the understanding we need for the spiritual awakening to happen? to understand that hyuman, animal, plant life is to be respected and loved?

we obviously havent been doing something right, I personally thin k this could be the ultimate spiritual challenge and lesson, to understand this.

I think it would alter our concept of existence and life as a whole, our whole way of life would be altered, our communities changed, our set of values, everything

I think this is one of the final steps in that spiritual ladder to nirvana

weird you say this... I've been thinking a lot about this alreafy. No way a loving God would abrove of mass murdering animals for food and other products, they are sentient, just like us.

I agree with you, but not sure scenes from "Powder" help you any. The film was made by a convicted child molester who videotaped himself having oral sex with a child actor on one of his films.

This is when the mans eyes are opened to the suffering and his spirit fully comprehends the (possible) spiritual implications of it

an awareness that is like a lifting of the veil that covers ones eyes,... apocalypse...means lifting of the veil, what if this is the veil that has to be lifted in order to understand and in order to ascend and be free in peace and love?
