Okay, OP, let's assume your logic. I'm willing to listen to you try to explain who the "sons of God" is referencing in Job 38 then. If you don't believe it's the angels, then please give us your interpretation.

Here's the verse. This is in NIV version, and they translate the "sons of God" and use the word "angels" instead. Here's the verse in question:

We have all kinds of theories about this "sons of God." A poster on here, Trained for This, says that it is actually resurrected humans who have gone through, on other Earths, what we're about to go through now, and they became spirit beings and were the ones who traveled down to a new Earth and impregnated the daughters of men.

Lots of wild theories on this. However, I believe it is the fallen angels.

THE ARGUMENT IS THIS

Genesis 6, particularly verse 4 is specifically about fallen angels procreating with women. The verse is plain

"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown." Gen 6:4

THE ANSWER IS THIS

The Nephilim are the fallen earth-born men
נפלים nephilim, from נפל naphal, "he fell." Those who had apostatized or fallen from the true religion.

The verse later explains that these men Nephilim נפל naphal, "he fell." Those who had apostatized or fallen from the true religion ) that they were the children born of The Sons of God (those in fellowship with God and the daughters of men (as opposed to the daughters of God)
These men inherited the spirit of the rulers of this world and became mighty men and leaders of men ruling the world that satan controlled. They were still Men though as the verse makes clear.

The only real problem with this...is you're wrong. Perhaps you're referring to the New Testament passages that say that when man accepts Christ they become son's of God. That's Greek. If you study the old Hebrew enough...and honestly it doesn't take much, it's very easy to see that these are not the same. They WERE angels. It's easily provable throughout old testament scripture. You have to study creation as detailed in Genesis chapters 1-3 for more clues.

We have the gods' (Elohim is plural) who formed man from the dust of the ground, and we have THE CREATOR, Almighty God who made Adam. Here you have two distinct sources for 'human' life upon the planet. And you have two distinct groups of people/beings. Since the word man is singular, and the word "men" is the plural of that, the "daughters of men" would be the daughters of the first group of "people" which were formed from the dust of the ground by "the gods."
