FLICKERING and COLOR-CHANGING STARS...Does the sky seem different lately?

Did you know that "Twinkle, Twinkle little Star" and the "alphabet song" are sung the same way

but I digress...

I too assumed they were stars for quite a while. Then on various occasions I've seen them move from one orbit to another. Yes, move! And they move quickly. No, it is not the earth movement creating an illusion. This is the actual objects (thought once to be flickering colored stars) moving from one position to another. As though they are looking for a more suitable orbit for one reason or another. Once they find it, they then "park" in the new orbit for weeks or even months. But watched long enough and eventually you will see them reposition themselves again. Sometimes at or just above the horizion and other times they will go beyond the horizon and won't be seen again for months.

Offhand I'd guess these are bases for smaller ships of some sort. With all the billions and billions of dollars poured into black projects, reverse engineering of downed alien vessels, etc., it is quite possible these are advanced man-made ships from earth. Although in fairness, it's unlikely the largest ones could be fully assembled on earth. Probably easier to do sub-assemblies and then lift them into orbit for the final assembly processes.

I've begun to assume that they are the "aircraft carriers" of space. When you turn an infrared binoculars on them, you can clearly see small ships darting into and out of them. This is a nightly occurrence and one that the Military is obviously well aware is going on above earth.

Space wars? Aliens shooting it out over our heads? Or are we in conflict with some extra-terrestial race of beings and in a war with them in an effort to protect earth from a wholesale invasion? Who knows? Obviously the government knows but they're not talking to avoid wholesale panic, and to keep their ultra-classified ships and weapons system hidden from the public for some indeterminate period into the future.

I am at a high altitude, maybe 4000 ft. above sea level where I view the stars from my third-floor balconey every evening, throughout the night. The stars I stare at every night seem to be changing. Their colors are coming through randomly and they sparkle with green, blue, red even orangish hues. I do not do drugs. I have never seen this before, despite having observed them from even higher elevations. I had originally considered temperature variables due to the altitude, but others in lower places are commenting on the same thing.

You are just NOW noticing this, they have been there for some time now, but they ARE putting on bigger shows than before, have moved in a little lower. These are CRAFT.

Yes, I see them all the time and I also have noticed how they change colors and flicker A LOT. I always look up to the night sky, but for the past year, the stars seem strange - crystal like, shinier and def. change colors. There are normally two large stars that catch my attention that are doing this, which I've never seen before. It's almost like they are getting closer to earth, or we are to them.

If it were ice due to the cold seasons, wouldn't it have done the same ?last year and/or the year before?

What makes it uncommon is that I have never seen this before, surely ice in the atmosphere will have been observable at other times as well as these?


Sure, great, you haven't seen it before. One observers eyes does not equal this hasn't happened before.

It's winter-ish. It happens every year spanning probably since humans have been capable of noticing it.

You are seeing Low Earth Orbiting Satellites (Leo's)... They are used for both communications and surveillance. They do have propulsion systems to maintain orbital position.

The color shift is due to reflecting light off of the photovoltaic panels.

I was amazed when I looked at an exceptionally large and bright "twinkler" through binoculars.

The colors flashing on it were so distinct. Red, Blue, White, purple, green. And as I watched, it seemed to morph into various geometric shapes - sometimes going quite large.
All the shapes were polyhedrons.
It looked something like this, but so colorful:

The lines of the geometric shapes were quite distinct, and brightly colored, too.
It was an awesome light show, and I doubt that stars do this.

i live where stars can be seen best- hawaii-
the stars have been doing this for years, however the ones that change colors from red to green to blue to yellow- have been watching us for about 5 years now.......
