Anonymous Coward User ID: 1212988 United States 01/01/2011 08:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Maybe It's time for the FOX WEATHER CHANNEL........ They can show the NBC ( No Brain Cell ) folks how it is done! I'm quite sure Rupert Murdoch, Neil Cavuto, Stu Varney, Beck and Hannity can help whip up some great Business weather stories..... Agricultural Weather ( I miss the old Max Armstrong Noon Show Ag weather forecasts on WGN ) and Political Weather forecasts Joe Buck can help with the Sports weather and Terry Bradshaw can tell the Hump-Humphrey Metrodome Folks when they need to shovel off the roof in the land of 10,000 liberals. Hannity and O'Reilly can have a Field Day with the NYC snow plow drivers who don't plow snow.... FOX can GPS - Pinpoint the snow drifts for the Bloomberg Army to clean ....whenever the plow boys get around to dropping their plows so they work better.... Get the real meteorological folks from the old TWC back together and show some real weather forecasting..... instead of reruns from 1969 hurricanes..... Hey..... they can add in Fishing weather too.... the FWC FISHCAST !!!! The Wizards of Smart @ NBC ( No Brain Cells ) have taken one of the best things on cable and run it into the ground. Wake up with al????? Ppppppuuuuuhhhhhlease...... He needs to go back to NBC free tv and stink up that channel and do some cooking segments with Kathie Lee Crosby Gifford.... I would watch this, why don't you approach fox with this idea? make sure that you document it as yours, starting with this thread, so no one steals your idea. |

Alexandra Steele and Paul were great forecasters. Jim Cantore excellent. And just what was wrong with Betty Davis? You people need to re-evaluate and if you don't I'm waitin for you to disappear. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1220743I'm looking for a good local weather source. Roker is a creepy dumbed-down weather clown -- he even sort of lurches on camera -- while Betty Davis was just wonderful. NBC made a terrible trade, but that's not surprising. Speaking of terrible, has anyone seen Mike Bettes' editorial bits? I think my thirteen year old could put something more intelligent, less cliche and amateur sounding together. I long for the old weather channel, when Dave Schwartz was around, and fewer Kens and Barbies. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 100369Nicole is now PRN and I look for her to be the next one to go. A GLP prediction that came true. It looks like her last day on the TWC will be sometime this weekend according to her Facebook. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 989174I remember seeing her on TWC and being shocked by her drastic appearance change. All I got. I saw her senior pictures in my sister's old high school yearbook. She looked like a short frumpy brunette with braces and her name was Kate Warsh. |

They acted as such shills, refusing to look at proff of cooked up data and science journal manipulations by the warmists. Also they bought into Algore's solution which was to set up a commodity market for trading carbon so Al and his pals could get richer. The "solution" had nothing to do with global warming. They also bought into the idea of giving the UN the right to tap into the Treasuries of the West for a carbon tax. I hope they all lose their jobs, the treasonous shills. |

All HUGE Boobs, 4/5 exposed, All the Time! Now that is a Weather Channel that 1/2 the people in America would watch!! Remember it's not about "Weather" ... it's about eyeballs watching the show. That is ALL that counts. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 744650 Canada 02/02/2011 02:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | From wikipedia On July 6, 2008, NBC Universal, Bain Capital and Blackstone Group agreed to purchase the Weather Channel from Landmark Communications.[3] NBC Universal also owned NBC Weather Plus, a rival service which was carried by and featured content from its local affiliates; that service announced its discontinuation three months later. Subchannels carrying Weather Plus have moved to the Local AccuWeather Channel, kept the Weather Plus engine, or switched affiliations (e.g., to This TV or the Retro Television Network). Some have shut down entirely. Quoting: From November 2008 through February 2009, The Weather Channel terminated seven long-time on-camera meteorologists: Kristina Abernathy, Eboni Deon, Kristin Dodd, Rich Johnson, Cheryl Lemke, Mark Mancuso and Dave Schwartz. With the exception of Eboni Deon, all had been on the air for more than ten years. Three of them had been employed by the network for more than twenty years. In July, 2010, The Weather Channel terminated Bill Keneely, the last of the original on-camera meteorologists who aired on the network's first broadcasts in 1982. This way they can have their stooge idiots spew insanity. I used to like Weather Channel, as background noise but when they got onto politicizing the Weather Channel I canned it. |

Agenda was transparent, provide accurate local weather. Now, it seems so strange as programs like When Weather Changed History, Storm Stories, and Full Force Nature all keep me from knowing if a rumble of thunder should cause me concern. |
