The Commentator User ID: 587619 United States 01/02/2011 08:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | nah, i think the story is quiet simple: i come here to share ideas and find out about the shits they didn't teach us in high school or ignored by a scientific community that violently tries to defend its stand on science by intimidating others just like you do you sir, on the other hand are scared to death that your little universe (or paradigm) will implode and be shattered and thats why you clench to science so damn tight like a toddler to his mama's hand +1 The first thing anyone needs is an open mind. That especially applies to the universe where it's obvious there is much we still don't know. Because we do not know everything, it does not follow that we know nothing. A compressed sponge (earth) expands due to millions of tons of ice disappearing from land too rapidly. That's interesting. I'll have to check into that. I think there is a lot more consequences caused by the natural ice ages than what we fully understand. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1157608(snip) Keep going, he probably misspelled something. That does tend to be the first line of attack, right after "bla, bla, bla..go back to highschool..." By definition the Earth IS expanding. Simply by its accumilation of dust and water each year, no? Plate Tectonic is just a theory as well. Personally I chose Expanding Earth, makes more sense. Perhaps the Commontater would like to explain how the pacific rim matches up as well as the North Atlantic rim? ...but of course this has to be done with the Earths existing size and mass. Impossible. |

One that has always sort of stuck out to me is the size of dinosaurs and basically all prehistoric creatures. Sharks like Megaladon and large plant eating dinosaurs like brontasaurus. We obviously have no creatures even remotely that size today, seems easier for them to live and thrive on a low gravity world. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 919411 United States 01/02/2011 10:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What if EVERYTHING is 'expanding' ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1214928Including all the tools we use to measure size and distance ? In that case, relatively speaking, we would be clueless. I know that according to the U.S. Geological Survey, "something" has caused the atomic weight of ten chemical elements to change. The changes are in the process of being noted on the Periodic Table of the Elements. "Atomic Weights of Ten Chemical Elements About to Change" [link to www.usgs.gov] An excerpt: For the first time in history, a change will be made to the atomic weights of some elements listed on the Table of Standard Atomic Weights of the chemical elements found in the inside covers of chemistry textbooks worldwide. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry’s (IUPAC) Commission on Isotopic Abundances and Atomic Weights is publishing a new table that will express atomic weights of ten elements as intervals, rather than as single standard values. The new table is the result of cooperative research supported by the U.S. Geological Survey, IUPAC, and other contributing Commission members and institutions. Standard atomic weights commonly are thought of as constants of nature, despite the fact that atomic weights of many common chemical elements show variations as a result of physical, chemical and biological processes. What are these physical, chemical and biological processes? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1193406I have questions for the genius'. 1. Why is the sun emiting different rays - according to some scientists it has started to change basic DNA. It is correct to assume it can then change the earth and in particular the interior? 2. With the mathematical predictions Velikovsky made can we assume that a large planetary body is closely approaching along with its own debris trail? 3. The entire solar system has seen many changes in particular the color spectrum where chemical composition is changing, why and where have these changes occured and started? 4. The solar system has stated to enter a massive electrical storm and how does that affect us here. 5. We have been hit with CME's in the last 3 to 4 days. How is that going to affect our weather and consequently the interior of the earth? 6. Palentologists have discovered that insects caught in tree sap have had close to 100% oxygen trapped with them. Does this mean that the dionasours grew to enourmous sizes because of the oxygen available in the air? 7. From all of my personal observations worldwide I know that many earth changing processes happen quite suddenly. Does this mean some things can't change slowly? I have many more questions - more than answers, but I am always looking for that golden nugget of wisdom that connects the dots instead of attacks on posters from people who think they are wiser than everyone else.
