Why are Brits so nasty and negitive?

The small towns and villages are wonderful. The people are so nice and treat Americans lovely. Cheers!

I occasionally visit london to go to the museums. I am from yorkshire. The Londeners are the most unfriendly group i have ever encountered. They dont make eye contact, they cant chat or have an off the cuff conversation. Very unpleasant.

Move out of london and its totally different.

I agree...the British and Australians are assholes and are not our friends. They wish us ill. I think part of their problem is they are not a player anymore. Agreed - but I think that goes for any big city. There is a definite lack of the community spirit. BTW (off topic) my husband was born and bred in Thorpe - did his trade down in the pits. Hes a kiwi now - even supports the All Blacks (though his Yorkshire accent hasn't changed and hes been out of UK for 30yrs lol).

Hahaha! It's a funny old world that we live in, being judged by an American. The world is like that on a larger scale, America judges everyone, that will be it's down fall.

Going on about something that happened years ago that you had nothing to do with...you weren't there and neither was i! There were 8 Americans in the Battle of Britain, not exactly saving our arses. Also on D-day there were 5 landing beaches, 3 of them were not American. You sold us weapons...you got into the war just as Germany was beginning to fall to bits anyway. Canada, Australia, Poland and RUSSIA were our allies back then! America did very little. So shut the hell up! Go learn some history...your country is just over 300 years old. Britain is thousands of years old!

I know our country is small but we lost a generation of good men being your allies.
