New soldier helmet can stop RIFLE bullets!!

Like we will use them. Look at the stuff we have now, but we just send our men in to get killed. I knowthe system.

$600 each for a new war toy, but we still can't build a toaster or a tv set in this country anymore.

Ok, now make armor plates out of these and replace the heavy Ceramic ones our troops currently use. You could add two per slot and still not weigh as much and be ultra protected from most rounds.

Sure they may offer great protection but they'll never be this sexy! Just watch as the fellow cleans his cat's litterbox while wearing a PICKELHAUBE..yeah!

I remember in order to shoot well I always had to wear my steel pot backwards so it wouldn't bump my glasses depending on firing position. It was great for shaving and such{never cooked in it} but lousy design IMO.

A lot of snipers today go for a throat shot, but having more protction is better than not having it at all.

What do they need this for? Heads stop bullets just fine.

Even if it could stop a high caliber rifle bullet, that soldier is going down probably permanently brain damaged. It would be the equivalent to getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer at full force, the brain would slam against the skull wall and bad things would happen as a result.
