Like the EU, .. stuck in classic deer in the headlights mode, offering little more than mealy-mouthed statements condemning the state-sponsored violence against anti-government protesters on the streets of .. key Libyan cities, which has already claimed at least 1,000 lives. .. Barack Obama’s .. remarks today on Libya were distinctly underwhelming and non-confrontational, offering little beyond a carefully worded expression of outrage... And both failed to even mention the man behind the reign of terror ...– “Mad Dog” Gaddafi, .... .. historic moment. One of the most brutal, evil and anti-American tyrants of our time is facing a massive popular revolt that is threatening to finally remove him from power . .. not a time for fence-sitting or navel-gazing from the world’s only superpower.... ... President Obama is already being outflanked by Nicolas Sarkozy, who has taken a far tougher line on Libya than his US counterpart. It is hugely embarrassing when even the French are doing more to confront a murderous dictator than the ... leader of the free world. Frankly, President Obama makes Jimmy Carter look like General MacArthur by comparison. The US administration needs to wake up from its slumber and start showing some real leadership on the world stage in place of its existing milquetoast foreign policy. |

Bomb the fuck out of Libia too? A ground war? Invade? Where next? The world is rife with warmongering idiocy. |

Not that I agree with Glenn Beck on many things but I do think it atrocious that Obama pussy-foots around the horrors occurring in Libya yet was very vocal in his support of the Egyptian protesters against their dictator leader. Obama won't even mention that name Gaddafi in his speech! He should at a minimum be giving the Libyan people the same respect and support he gave the Egyptians. |

The money was divided between two foundations run by Gaddafi's children; Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation, run by his son Saif, and Wa Attassimou, run by his daughter Aicha. The answer is because it does not support his anti-american agenda to do so. He, and others have something up their sleave and we have not figured it out. It makes no sense for his inconcistancy on these uprisings. |

Is it any wonder the Zero is doing nothing?
Other quotes from the article:
"Gaddafi praised Barack Obama, called him a "friend" and said there is no longer any dispute between his country and the US."
"Gaddafi stressed that Obama's presidency is "a major historical gain" and said, "He is someone I consider a friend. He knows he is a son of Africa. Regardless of his African belonging, he is of Arab Sudanese descent, or of Muslim descent." |
