Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1280010Yeah, I called my agent and that is exactly what he said to me. That our area was past due for an earthquake. So now I have an agent admitting that not only do they raise rates for PAST expenses but also for anticipated events. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1271821 United States 02/28/2011 05:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this JUST happened to us, as well as a $80 increase in our house payment due to insurance rate increase. Bastards. Quoting: PARANOID.I can get "red angry" when i start thinking of all of the money i have given the criminal groups FOR NO GOODS OR SERVICES. Its just a fucking pit to throw money into, and then get slapped in the face with the throbbing cock of advertising they pay for with the money they steal. Ive given at least 15K to geico for jack and shit. At least 25k to health insurance companies for again jack and shit. I guess i am punishing myself or not getting in wreaks or not going to the doctor... O wait thats right they have seas of lawyer dicks waiting around to figure out a way to FUCK ME out of what i should be owed.... And yet i hear people bitching about taxes all the fucking time at least you can circle jerk yourself into thinking your tax dollars do something. With insurance money is only increasing advertising and the amount of money they can use for lobbying to require that we have to buy their bullshit "product". MAKES ME WANT TO HURL THE FUCKING EARTH INTO THE SUN!!!!! |

And i say yet because i was considering buying but yeah im seeing again these fucks have lobbied their way into that industry as well so i have to buy insurance for that as well.. What the fuck is the point of owning a house if by the time you add in maintenance, taxes, and insurance thugs you have a whole fucking rent payment again. INTO THE SUN!~!!!!!!! |

Fortunately, he did say that it was regional. But curiously he mentioned all the Katrina expense and I am no where near the Gulf. Why don't you change insurance companies? Allstate canceled my car insurance when I got married giving the explanation that I had become a greater risk because my husband did not have a good driving record. He didn't drive my car and I canceled with Allstate and have never gone back. |

I live on Long Island and also have State Farm. Last August I spoke with my broker and he said that they were no longer insuring any new home policies just existing home policies. He said the reason - we are due for a major hurricane. He also told me to go over my existing policy and make sure we have everything we need. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1263366 United States 03/01/2011 08:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my husband went in to the state farm office to get auto insurance.spent half an hour going through paperwork with the man.signed what he needed to sign and went home. two months later they sent a bill that was almost twice as much.when he called they told him there was still a form he had not filled out. no reason given for the rise in insurance. he told them he HAD filled out all the necessary paperwork IN THEIR OFFICE. they would not carry out their end of the contract so we canceled with them and found another insurance, much cheaper. my husband seriously hates them now. ive NEVER heard anything good about them...so i was surprised he even chose them to begin with. |

Rode hard and put away wet User ID: 20775116 United States 04/06/2013 05:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Insurance companies figure the odds of payouts. Your are insuring against the odds that nothing will happen. Your policy covers you for a period of time and if something happens then you are covered. If nothing happens you lost the bet and the insurance company won. The odds are stacked in their favor. Insurance companies are the private piggy bank of the 1%. It's like betting on pass line at the craps table. You will loose more times than you when. My insurance company just sent a letter that I will not be able to renew my earthquake insurance after my policy elapses. |
