australian tsunami centre just issued ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE OF TSUNAMIS REACHING AUSTRALIA hope they are right

The information at the moment is very conflicting.

The PTWC has nz and australia there:

But SkyNews Australia is saying there is no warning.

The ticker tape on the news had said we were now included in the warning. But BOM and the PTWC doesn't agree.

No further updates will be issued unless the situation changes.

Just got the warning on TV for San Francisco bay area tsunami.

No probs.. But at this stage civil defence is saying that it is likely to be more like severe storm conditions than tsunami.

Just heard on Al Jazeera that the Japanese are expecting "big one" to strike again at any time. What the hell that "big one" might be, it just sent shiver through my spine.
