DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
Though Satan has been defeated by Jesus Christ, he continues as an unrelenting foe in his warfare against God and mankind.

The Lord said to the Pharisees who hated Him:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not" (Jn. 8:44-45).

Satan may use the truth, but only to eventually propagate a lie. It is always a subterfuge for promoting his deceptions. Using his network of deception through demonic forces and duped people, he promotes false doctrines in the name of God (2 Cor. 11:3; Eph. 4:14; 1 Tim. 4:1-4; 2 Tim. 3:13; 2 Thess. 2:10).

Satan has the power of influence and blinding. He blinds the minds of the unbelieving (2 Corinthians 4:4). He prevents the gospel from entering their hearts (Matthew 13:19; Luke 8:11). Satan speaks through fortunetellers (Acts 16:16), cult leaders (1 Timothy 4:1-2), and false preachers (2 Corinthians 11: 13-15). He seeks to deceive about his existence, his purposes, his activities, and his coming defeat. He is the deceiver of the whole world (Revelation 12:8). His ultimate deception will be in the anti-christ (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

10 ¶ Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenlies. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and, having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you shall be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil [one]. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.EPHESIANS 6:10-18

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
The suicide rate is climbing. More and more people feel that life is not worth living. If you are one of them, you are not alone. I want you to understand why you are having the thoughts of suicide. It goes way back past the time you were born. God created the angels before He created mankind. Satan was created as an angel. He was perfect at first, but soon he decided that he wanted to be like God and have the other angels worship him. (Ezekiel 28:14-15 NIV) You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. {15} You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. God does not play this game, there is only one God and He will not share His glory with anyone. (Isaiah 42:8 NIV) "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols."

God judged Satan and as His holy nature demands put him under punishment. This is where it gets very interesting. God did not start the punishment immediately, but instead commanded that it will happen later. Then God created the earth and mankind. I can't speak for God, but I think God was making a point to Satan and the other angels which followed him. God created mankind and gave us free will to choose good or bad. Satan knew this and tempted Adam and Eve. They sinned and God declared punishment on them just like Satan knew He would. Satan thought he had won, he had caused God's creation to rebel and therefore be sentenced to death. (Ezekiel 18:4 NIV) For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son--both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

But God also did something else, that drove Satan nuts. He provided a way for us to be forgiven. God never gave Satan a chance at forgiveness. God showed His mercy and His love to us. (Romans 5:8 NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God Himself paid our debt for us in the form of Jesus Christ, His Son. Satan hates God, but he is not powerful enough to do anything to God. God is in control and one day Satan will be punished and he knows it. However, Satan thinks he has found a way to hurt God. He knows that God loves us and he knows that God has left it up to us whether we accept His free gift of salvation or not. Satan also knows that we only have that choice until the day we die, after that our fate is sealed and we cannot change it.

When God created Adam and Eve, He created them in His own image. (Genesis 1:26 NIV) Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." Every time Satan sees one of us, he is reminded of God. He hates us because he hates God. He wants to destroy anything and everything which reminds him of God and we do just that.

LET THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAD AND TEACH YOU!

"The leading is both internal and external. To whatever extent
the Holy Spirit by its indwelling strengthens the human spirit
to enable it to control the flesh, to that extent the leading
is internal; to whatever extent the motives of 'the law of the
Spirit,' when brought to bear on the heart in the New
Testament, enlighten and strengthen, and so enable it to keep
the body in subjection, to that extent the leading is external.
The leading, then, consists of the whole of the influences of
every kind exercised by the Holy Spirit on the human spirit.

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
The Spirit shapes us in different ways, and as a result, we value different goals. Someone with the gift of administration will value order and organization; someone with the gift of serving will ask whether people are being helped; someone with the gift of encouragement will focus on peoples’ attitudes; people with the gift of generosity will look for needs that they can fill. And the Spirit works with us in the way that he has caused us to be, according to our interests and values.

For some people, he speaks subtly, in general principles; for others, he must speak with unmistakable details. Each of us must listen in the way that God has made us, in the way that he chooses to deal with us. The important thing is that we listen—that we are ready and willing to hear what he says. We should be looking for his leadership rather than ignoring it.

Now large crowds were traveling with him; and he turned and said to them, “Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple. (St. Luke 14:25-26 NRSV)

Ouch! That’s not exactly an easy word to hear on Holy Family Sunday, now is it? And, yet, we must deal with it. After all, Jesus said it, didn’t he?

What does the Gospel of St. Luke mean when it reports that Jesus said this? St. Matthew’s Gospel phrases this word of the Lord a little differently: “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me....” (St. Matthew 10:37 NRSV) However, those who quickly run to Matthew’s version of this passage because it appears to be a bit more palatable, usually do so by skipping over a bit too quickly the verses that immediately precede it:

For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s foes will be members of one’s own household. (St. Matthew 10:35-36 NRSV)

Double ouch!!!!!! No matter where you go, you discover this this is a difficult word of the Lord! Why, pray -tell, is Jesus being so harsh about families? Does Jesus really mean that we’re to “hate” our families ... with all the emotional baggage that goes along with “hatred”? I don’t think so.

"Miseo" is the Greek word which is translated “hate” in St. Luke 14:25-26. It has, seated within its roots in Attic Greek, the fundamental sense of "separation" or "exclusion" of one from another -- usually out of a fear of physical or spiritual harm. It doesn't, therefore, include the "psychological sense" of anger or emotional "againstness" that modern English generally situates in the word "hate," but rather describes one's relational orientation towards another. With whom does one associate as opposed to whom one avoids? Put simply, if one is impure -- if one is spiritually sick -- that one is to be avoided.
This word was adopted by those who first translated the Old Testament into Greek (about 200 years before Jesus was born) for God's attitude towards people who were engaged in certain sinful acts which created ritual impurity. For example, those who ate or prepared unclean food (pork, choked chickens, clams, lobster, meat cooked with milk [cheese burgers] etc.) were to be avoided (“miseo”) because they were thought of as being unclean, and because they were unclean they could make anyone who came into contact with them unclean as well. This was also true of a woman in her period, a man who is bleeding from any kind of injury, or those who engage in improper sexual activity. ANYTHING that involves either the ingesting of blood or contact with bleeding in general, will make one unclean and is to be avoided at nearly any cost. When understood in its *linguistic* context, this word actually highlights that God requires His people to separate themselves from such out of a fear of ritual impurity. Any issue of blood, any contact with unclean food or with food prepared in an unclean way, can make one ritually unclean. God "hates" ("miseo") those who are unclean or who have come into contact with unclean people or practices because they tend to spread their ritual uncleanliness among God’s people. As a result, God's people are required to distance themselves from such. There is no anger, dislike, or any other kind of negative emotional antipathy towards these people -- only a concern over ritual impurity.

The meaning of "miseo" in the Koine Greek of Hellenistic Judaism and the Early Church is informed by this concept of ritual impurity. These authors looked especially to the Greek translations of Hebraic Wisdom Literature (both Biblical and Extra-Biblical) for their understanding of how one was to deal with spiritual "stumbling blocks." ANYTHING that comes between a disciple and the master, between God and God's child, is considered a fit object of "miseo."

Informed by the linguistic roots of the word "miseo," it seems clear that there is no emotional baggage in it, no anger or malicious disregard -- as there is in the English word "hate." Quite the contrary, in THIS context "miseo" has a very clear meaning: it means to separate or remove one's self from entangling relationships or circumstances which might come between the disciple and the master.

Sadly, family can come between the disciple and the master. We all know this, even if we don’t want to think about it. Sometimes (I pray, often times) families and loved ones go, hand and hand, with us in following Jesus Christ. That is the ideal ... in such cases, the entire family loves Jesus supremely, and because of this love they then can truly love each other. However, sometimes family stands in our way. I have friends in the ministry whose families have been opposed to their calling to the pastorate. In such cases, the master’s call take precedent.

No, Jesus did not tell us to “hate” our families, but to prefer him over the demands of family.

What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"

Mark 1:24 "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"

Mark 5:7 He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me!"

Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!"

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
God has sovereign control as both Creator and Sustainer of the physical and spiritual world. Acknowledgment of this truth should govern our every thought, as well as our reaction to the situations and circumstances of life. There are times when we find ourselves tested in ways we really do not understand. It is then that we must choose to believe and trust in God. Regardless of what is going on around us. Although it is true that God allows us to be tested, He ALWAYS sets strict limits on the tests ( look at chapter 2:3-6) He knows all about us (7: 17-18) and is closely involved with our lives if we allow Him and of course in ways we often don’t understand (9:10-12). Yet, even when our minds are not clear of what is going on in the midst of the trouble, we can be confident that Christ is our supporter with the Father ( see 1 John 2:1), always backing us up in every situation (Job 9:33-35; 16:19-12). We can never completely know or understand God in our limited minds; but as He reveals Himself to us, (if we let Him) we can begin to comprehend His true nature. That understanding will lead us to His eternal life in us.

Lets look at the word “Satan” in verse 6: The name “Satan” actually comes from the verb, which means an opponent, or the Opponent; the hater; the accuser; adversary, enemy; one who resists, obstructs, and hinders whatever is GOOD. As we look at the definition of the word “Satan”, we also see the outline of Satan’s strategy against Christians, which is to oppose, accuse, be an adversary, resist, obstruct, and hinder. Every believer in Jesus Christ should know who Satan is and what his game IS. Because he has a game that is to “kill, steal, and destroy” The Bible teaches us that evil is not just an intangible force: just as God is the Author of good. Satan is the author of evil NOT the opposite of GOOD.

"Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that every person that believes in him would not be lost, but have life forever."
JOHN 3;16

God loves us! That is the triumphant message of the Bible. That is the greatest message we will ever hear. Thankfully, however, this is not just a message in words. God wanted us to know his love for us, so he demonstrated that love at great personal cost. God loves us! We know that because he gave his Son for us. God loves us! He didn't want the power of "perish" to claim us, so he gave us the power of his love. God loves us! He sacrificed so we could have life. God loves us! Don't ever doubt it. Don't let the evil one rob you of this life-giving truth. God loves you and wants to give you life!

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
The devils have nothing to do with Christ as a Saviour they neither have, nor hope for any benefit from him.

Oh the depth of this mystery of Divine love; that fallen man has so much to do with Christ, when fallen angels have nothing to do with him! Heb 2:16.

Surely here was torment, to be forced to own the excellence that is in Christ, and yet they had no part in him.

The devils desire not to have any thing to do with Christ as a Ruler.

See whose language those speak, who will have nothing to do with the gospel of Christ.

But it is not true that the devils have nothing to do with Christ as a Judge; for they have, and they know it, and thus it is with all the children of men. Satan and his instruments can go no further than he permits; they must quit possession when he commands.

They cannot break his hedge of protection about his people; they cannot enter even a swine without his leave. They had leave. God often, for wise and holy ends, permits the efforts of Satan's rage.

Thus the devil hurries people to sin; hurries them to what they have resolved against, which they know will be shame and grief to them: miserable is the condition of those who are led captive by him at his will.

Father, I believe that you gave Jesus to save me from my sins. I confess that I cannot fully understand that love, but I thank you and praise you with all of my heart. Please forgive me when my life does not reflect your loving estimation of my worth. Give me strength to believe what you say about me. I place my full trust in your love to continue its transformational work of redemption in me. Thank you that you are making me better than I am right now. Thank you even more for ransoming me from my sin and giving me life with you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
Hey OP since you know so much about the Bible, can you tell us more about how we are supposed to hate our mother and father, how we should kill our children if they are bad and how to burn animals to please God. YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT. It takes ZERO brains to spew bullshit like this. Use the brain you have been given for more than a hat rack. You are doing humanity absolutely no good. Christians are a small minority in the world. Your God isn't even close to the most popular one,
 Quoting: Brainsdonthurtabit

For your sake, I hope your right. I'll say now I have to respect your command of your subject matter. That said, I see way too many ultra-religious people that add nothing to our current life. They are pre-occupied with the next life. I will bet my future life in hell that you don't know what is next even though you think you know you do. Ancient religions show a remarkable similarity to the Christian God. Additionally, ancient people may have been visited by UFO's given the multitude of physical "evidence" as depicted in caves etc. Religion was here before the Bible. The Bible is simply the now religion for you. I am of the mind that you don't know anymore than I do. Its one big-assed universe. I hope you aren't wasting your time, but by the study you have done, I'm sure you have a ton of followers and thats cool. Fun too isn't it...kind of like a rock star to some...You know damn well what I mean.

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
LUCIFER / SATAN WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE THE LIE OF so called other gods / advanced beings. THIS IS A DELUSION.

John 8:44 states You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. Scripture says that Satan or the devil is liar and a deceiver. He doesn't want you to know God's truth so he will substitute believable fairy tales in place of it. I believe UFOs are of satanic origin.

The year 1947 began the UFO sighting craze. This was just one year before the most prophetically signifcant year ever took place. 1948 was the year that Israel became a nation which allowed the Jewish people to return to their homeland after almost 2,000 years being dispersed among the nations.

This is also the year the United Nations and the World Council of churhes formed as well as the invention of the transistor which is responsible for many advancements in technology. It was no accident that UFOs began appearing at this time. The nucleus for the fulfillment of End Time prophecy began in 1948.

Consider what the Bible says in regard to Satan. Ephesians 2:2 states, "Wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience." Here Satan is referred to as controlling the air.

Another scripture reference is Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Some people have the idea that Satan or the Devil is a mythical creature with horns, a tail, and a pitchfork tormenting souls in hell. Nothing could be further from the truth. 1 Peter 5:8 says "Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

The prophetic scriptures teach that Jesus is returning for his church-the people who have accepted him as Lord and Savior. These people will suddenly vanish into thin air because Jesus will have called them home. Millions of people will disappear and the multitude that is left behind will want to know what happened to their friends and family.

This is when Satan steps in. He will use a man (the antichrist) to explain to the world that the missing persons were abducted by aliens and taken to another planet or something similar. This is why we are seeing UFOs and hearing stories of "alien abductions". Satan is preparing the minds of the general population to believe and accept a lie so he can be worshiped as God.

It might work if he tries to lift the mood or the spirit of the crowd, and they can yell praise the lord and amen and get smiles on their faces, anjoying the good mood like in a good party with a good flow, but what he speaks about lands on deff ears that shouts - we understand praise etc.
Only thing he does is raise the mood of the crowd

PEOPLE ARE FREE TO BELIEVE GOD, OR SATAN'S DECEPTION!

2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 says "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
SATAN IS BEHIND THE NEW AGE / NWO DECEPTIONS!

New Ageism embraces supernaturalism, but ascribes it to the creature, not the Creator (as in Romans 1:22-24). They flaunt the "I am God" concept as it naturally appeals to man's ego and thirst for power, an appeal as old as the Garden of Eden. Satan promised Eve: "Ye shall be as God."

It is of of the goals of the New Age Movement to cause people to rebel against the true God of the Bible and to believe that they are deities. Once Satan has the person in this heretical frame of mind, then the battle is won. The individual will then be called for greater service to the Prince of Darkness. And with a mind clouded and confused, he or she will comply. The individual will have become a member, knowingly or unknowingly, of the Satanic conspiracy.

Re: DON'T FALL FOR SATAN!
We crave a knowledge that is esoteric, not normally available to the ordinary person. We want to experience a power that is spiritual and supernatural in origin. People don't seem to want to hear what God has to say, they want information and direction from someone else who "knows"; a psychic, a channeler, a palm-reader, a card-reader, Ouija boards, astrology, magic charming, automatic writing, or the spirit of a dead friend of relative. In a sense these are God-given desire, but they are intended to be fulfilled by the knowledge and power which comes from God. However, Satan is busy trying to pass off his counterfeits for God's knowledge and power as the real thing. If he can get us to accept his versions of knowledge and power, he has a foothold in our life.
