Tarot Cards and Templar Tricks
Though Tarot cards were spread from India and China, the Knights Templar may have used them to hide their secrets. A close look at the deck of cards reveals the Masonic pillars of Jochim and Boaz, symbols of alchemy, and an allegorical story of a fool (initiate) entering upon a journey of enlightenment.

Here’s the link between tarot cards and the Knights Templar. I think one will find it interesting to say the least: [link to www.ancientmonks.com]

Re: Tarot Cards and Templar Tricks
The article is full of inaccuracies and base it's interpretation on the Rider Waite deck which is influenced by western esotericism and masonic symbols.

The Tarot is not masonic. The Tarot is not related to Templars. Masons are not related to Templars.

This article is based on texts written by masons who wish to give their organization credibility and try to tie all esoterica to mason and Templars.

There's so many BS in the article I don't know where to begin.

The Church removed the major arcana? The major arcana still in the French and Spanish playing games!

Jachin and Boaz on the Female Pope card? That's a modern addition by.... masons! Lol.

The original looks like this:

The article should be called "how masons tried to stole the tarot and take credit of it"

BS.

Re: Tarot Cards and Templar Tricks
The Rider Waite deck is used in English speaking countries and dates from 1909.

The Marseille is already found during the XVth century, and include NO masonic nor templar symbols.

If templars wanted to hide their wisdom in a tarot deck, do you think they would choose a deck created in the XXth century, lol?

Here is the 'High Priestess" in one of the earliest decks.

As you can see no pillars.

Maybe other clues can be found?

You can find many clues of wisdom, that's true.

But the origin of the tarot has nothing to do with masons nor templars.

That's wishful thinking BS from masons who think they are the only holders of the eternal knowledge, and that only them can truly understand the secret teachings of antique mysteries because they belong to a secret tradition that goes back to Hiram Abif.

That's how they attract the gullible. I call it ego.

The origin of the tarot are images depicting small stories containing wisdom and moral teachings to everyone and not just a selected few. It was like an illustrated book, but with many wisdom summarized.
