don´t forget the chemtrails,

ignorance is bliss,

so now you will have a mix of radiation and chemtrails raining down on you,

it´s amazing at how much torment people in america can take,

and still defend their national identity like if it were their only hope to life,

but don´t worry folks....it´s the same wherever you go,

politicians have done a good job at instilling national identity to the masses,

and with it.... use it to keep them distracted (elections) while they send them to the ovens,

people will hold on to denial....to the bitter end!

don't ya know the blindly patriotic can just wrap up in an american flag and poof, doomproof! this includes plutonium ejecta as well!

Wow, America is full of some of the dumbest fucks in the history of the world.

It's amazing how much stupidity is spewed from these "Rah Rah" America fucktards.

Yeah! Japan... Remember Pearl Harbor!!!

Yeah, America... remember all of the sanctions that FDR put on Japan... remember how FDR forced Japan's hand into war.

Oh yeah, you DON'T because you idiot fucks don't read or know the real history.

I'm embarassed to share soil with these belligerent "Americans".

I'd say the powers that be, did a damn fine job at dumbing down the masses. holy shit.
 Quoting: Daily Doom

I could not agree more. I have met some great people from the US and have some long time friends south of the 49th, but overall you have pretty much hit the nail on the head.
 Quoting: The Ogre

Tell that to the Chinese and the SE Asians Japan tried to "colonize".

Fucking weeaboos.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1317583

How about the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama, Guam, Hawaii...do you want me to keep going? Pot meet Kettle.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1287498

Ahhh...so you admit that JAPAN is just as shit as the US.

Thanks for proving my point. If you are anti US you are anti Japan by default because those fucks not only wanted to colonise ala the US, they wanted to subjugate and enslave - literally. Why? Because they are racial supremacists.

Tough shit, Japan. You won't be missed by those who know you haven't changed a bit in the past 70 years.

plain english, to the point, delivered calm and confidently.

I asked this in another post but didn't get an answer, so maybe somebody here knows. If they can's stop these leaks, will they continue to spew radiation indefinitely? Anybody know?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1197470

They will stop eventually on their own. Maybe a year or two?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1318344

if that were the case why would they bother building a new sarcophagus at chernobyl? The new one they are hoping will last 100 years and should have been built 10 yrs ago because the current one is falling apart.

Shit's here to stay for the long haul.

They really need to figure out some technology to fix this shit because none of it is going away.

As an addendum to that to clarify things... the way radioactivity works is this:

You have an unstable molecule - it emits an atomic particle in an attempt to become more stable. This emission creates energy (gamma rays) which is the radiation, the particles themselves are also radiation (alpha/beta/neutron).

Each time it does this it changes state. Each state has a certain half life. Plutonium 239's half life is 24,100 years. Which means that after 24,100 years, only half of it will remain, the rest will have changed into something else.

Hope that clarifies things a bit

I think its about time they cemented that thing in, lets get real they arnt going to fix it. Its a pile of junk now.

The longer they spend attempting to fix this thing the more the radiation is escaping

I agree.. just pour tons n tons of concrete over it, using plastersiser (for strength) & latex (for waterproofing), just fill it all in, then cover all that with liquid glass..

They need robots when the rad is too strong
 Quoting: skirmisher

Robots will only work for a limited time. The Russians used automated and robotic land movers to push and move the radioactive graphite from the area and what happened was the radiation was effecting the systems of the automation. Radiation isn't good for people or electronics even materials. Even if you are able to harden the electronic boxes and such eventually they will lose the ability to respond. This will burn for years.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

that might work if they added some good rebar structure, but they have to get the fuel rods down first. It would take years, and how can they cap off the bottom half?

this is yesterday's video of the jobsite..

Nuking it would vaporize all of that radioactive waste and put it into the atmosphere so it could spread around the world. Brilliant idea.

Oh, and don't forget to seal the bottom. Y'know...cause gravity is going to pull all that melted waste down to the water table. So slip something underneath; like made of krypton or maybe pieces of the Roswell spaceship. I'll let you guys figure out what's best.

with some tunneling equipment maybe they could fill in the underside with concrete and Roswell UFO scrap, but the Earth is already not stable in that area making tunneling difficult..

You kidding? Obama is in the back pocket of the nuclear industry. Illinois has more nukes than any other state and Obama's got a skeleton or two in his closet as far as giving them a free ride when he was in govt there.
