I stopped reading at "The unsustainability of industrialized civilizations"
Nobody wants to regard the fact that Indigenous peoples on several continents made murder and cannibalism the primary industry in their cultures for millennia, what utter fart gas.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1292771

You are entitled to your opinion of course. I believe the 'parasite' is in all cultures, indigenous included.

Excellent article. As a Christian it is amazing the influence sin has in our lives, no matter what it is called. Demons and evil(sin) exist. Most mankind is just too blind to see, or too foolish to recognize until it is too late.

Thanks for commenting Matt. Don't give up hope on humanity completely, waking up is a process and many are starting to come around and take both self and collective responsibility.

The “Wetiko” psychosis-

"I believe that the exploitative consumption of the earth, the living creatures of the earth, and, above all, other human beings and their homelands, constitute actual, real, unmitigated cannibalism. Tragically, the cannibalism of which I write has become more and more an acceptable part of modern economic and personal exploitation, with those who do the consuming giving little or no thought to the diminishing or even elimination of the lives of those at the receiving end of their quest for profit and super-sustenance.
...the accumulation of Wetiko deeds has accelerated to the point where we face severe environmental and societal hazards such as to threaten the very fabric of life on this incredibly beautiful and loving planet. We are destroying our home with our grasping after wealth, power, advantage, and materialism. We seem willing to push selfishness (individual and national) to an obscene degree."

"wetiko,"
a Cree term which refers to a diabolically wicked person or spirit who terrorizes others.

Professor Forbes, who was one of the founders of the Native American movement during the early sixties, says,
"Tragically, the history of the world for the past 2,000 years is, in great part, the story of the epidemiology of the wetiko disease." Wetiko/malignant egophrenia is a "psychosis" in the true sense of the word as being a "sickness of the soul or spirit."

Native peoples in North America had no written laws nor dogmatic religious codes,
only an ongoing dialogue,
verbal agreements were never etched in stone,
but left open-ended, subject to change.
As long as you continued the ongoing dialogue,
violence as a solution to human conflict could be averted.

Influence of sin, is an interesting comment.
What exactly is sin?
Adam sinned in Eden, but what actually was his sin?
His sin was NOT LISTENING to God. The sine was not eating from the tree of knowledge(notice I didn't say apple, because it wasn't an apple).
Eating of the tree of knowledge was a consequence of his sin.

The trouble with all of this is that in todays world we do not speak the say way as in the days of our ancestors. The words, including content and meaning of a word, has lost and in some instances gained other meaings.

How would you explain to someone a few thousand years ago what a TV or car is, or what a rocketship or a vaccine, or sound waves or light waves or other things that we take for granted and are part of our vocabulary?
They needed to be explained in a way that people of their eras, long gone, could understand.

So for the Bible bashers, they are the same people who do not understand the reasoning of the Gods.

Interesting concept, seems like a creative way to describe a certain human condition more or less. Not sure I buy into it as a higher philosophy or truth, though. Because if it is true, we're all infected.

Re: The Wetiko Disease - a psychological parasite
My god, I didn't think it was going to be this interesting. This is exactly true.

When I smoked weed or took mushrooms (which i never did regularly only a few times), I was able to see the psychosis in others, Iv had weird experiences where I heard two people talking and it sounded utterly mad.

For instance one person would talk about something and the other would start talking about what ever he wanted to talk about. This happens alot but we don't quite recognize it or ignore it. Perhaps rude in the sober mind but from that other perspective it seemed insane almost as if two people both inveloped in their own world were almost talking to themselves.

I came down from a mushroom journey once which was very difficult as they always were, not a "joy ride" at all. And when I would see my parents talking to eachother I would spot these peculiar things in their speech.
For instance I would see my mom doing the dishes and murmering to herself or when she was walking around and talking to herself what she was going to do and all. Every parent has done that I think. Its like the brain is constantly talking and it vocalizes sometimes when a person is a bit unconscious.

From the perspective that I gained after such a psychedelic trip it would all seem quite peculiar and even dark. It showed me that humans are truely psychotic.

This psychosis has been known since the early days of mans existence. The buddha for example was one of the first persons to grow beyond the psychosis into the truth. We call it enlightenment but perhaps taking into account the concepts in this article enlightenment is not going into the divine perhaps it is meerly going back to the human. To inate godliness and morality.

This is an amazing article, absolutly the most important subject in the whole of existence. This is the only thing that will change the world, that will change us.

And to quote the article

"The unsustainable nature of industrial civilization is based on, and increasingly requires violence to maintain itself."

THIS explains exactly why we are entering a time of growing unrest and violence, because the broken system is never being taken on from the very root of its existence which is the psychosis. And because we are unable to see the psychosis and thus take the system for a fact and for the truth we fall faster and faster into the pit of madness that will consume us and the world.

This ladies and gentlemen is why we should meditate, why we should take the path of devotion and go beyond the material go beyond the psychosis and go back to the essence of life that which has never changed and that wich will never die.

And not just sarcastic, but cynical. Kind of like, if you change your perception, you notice on television or even in others the quirks and subliminal messages you generally miss. It's kind of like we're all a bunch of wind up toys, but we don't know what's making us tick. And when you come close to figuring it out, the rest of the zombie horde narrows in on you and flays you alive.

EXACTLY, im glad im not the only one. If you change your perception which psychedelic drugs do (i count weed in that catagory)you see the madness in all its colors, thats why i was very depressed when after my last trip, and it made it easier to isolate myself in myself. Which is exactly what a seeker needs to find the truth within him.

The world is a dark place, but the good thing is that there is the eternal purity and goodness that we can all reach.

Re: The Wetiko Disease - a psychological parasite
I hate it when people make things so much more complicated than they have to be. I believe this WETIKO DISEASE is doing just that.

I really like Carl Jung's work and agree a lot with what he has to say. But taking his work to WETIKO DISEASE is going way over the top.

This entire situation can be explained much more easily than it is being done. You can say "the Devil made me do it" or call it the Archon's like John Lash. You can even explain it as a vast global conspiracy for the hearts and minds of us humans. But it can all be said in a few sentences.

There are forces here on planet earth since this last age anyway(3,000 BC) until now that have pulled humanities strings(as in we are the puppets). They are the Kings/Queens, Priests, Bankers, Generals, Rullers, etc. They lie to and enslave the population of earth in many different types of ways. It is done through fear and the teaching of false values and paradigms. Wheather these people are psychopaths or aliens or both I do not know. But something has been radically wrong here even since the Old Testament was written and possibly before.

I don't believe that most people are basically bad. I think that most people are basically good. But most people are fear based and extremely traumatized and this is why we behave the way we do. Not because we have a virus or parasite but because we have lost touch with our true natures and we look out side for guidance(to this f**ked up world and believe it is real and it is all an illusion) instead of going inside(the kingdom of heaven is w/in) and figuring it out for ourselves. Of course the aid of people that are on this path is invaluable in our journey and there are many of them out there all that need be done is to look.

I have come to the conclusion that it is our purpose here on earth to realize this and make the necessary changes w/in ourselves so that we are no longer controlled by these sick bastards.

It is not that hard to understand you just have to see the big picture. However, being the change you want to see is the difficult part.

I don't think you read and understood what i was saying. I mean that there are forces here on earth that do tempt us to go in the wrong direction. However, we are responsible for realizing this fact and if we have gone down the wrong path we need to forgive ourselves. Then try again for the right path.

Right now no one wants to let go of the paradigm under which we are living. They are afraid to. But ya know what it does not matter because it is going to collapse no matter what because it is not how the Universe works. It does not work through greed, lies, ego's, in general materialism. So it could give a damn about what we think it's going to follow universal law and not Admiralty or common law.

We all suffer with this 'disease' to varying levels. Wetiko is simply our individual and collective shadows (unconscious false beliefs/psychological wounds) being projected outwards onto the world stage. With the light of awareness the shadows can be embraced, transformed and integrated within our psyches.

Each of us must take self responsibility and accept collective responsibility for the present condition projected on the world stage.
