Sounds like an honest question from the OP.

The answer is yes and no. People are beginning to lose it worldwide. The GLP crowd lost it long ago.

The reason people are beginning to lose it is that the collective "stories" that Control Institutions have used for ages are beginning to crumble as they greedily go for the gusto before the Natural World caves in on the whole shebang, accelerating their selfish fuck-everybody-but-me schedules, and dispensing with their carefully built-up-for-ages facades they have used to maintain control over trusting populations.

In their haste, they have abandoned the care and feeding of the population's need for at least some semblance of rationality behind the way the world is. As they leave their posts to ransack the world, the regular useful minions in governments and media struggle for justification for the unjustifiable, the patently false - and a general sense that things don't make sense anymore - even to these mannequins manning presidential podiums and network "news" desks.

Yeah - we're "insane". The sooner, the better.

Next step is the cold rationality that arises from a rude wake-up call, primarily for the delusionally "sane".
