It is hideous how still unknown and disrespected the phenomenon of ritual or 'satanic' abuse is. It seems so unbelievable to most people that there could be such evil perpetrated, and hidden so well, that most people easily dismiss the whole idea. This is a tragedy of epic proportions. Darkness is very, very intelligent and hides itself well.

Even wikipedia is dismissive of the concept of satanic ritual abuse. If you look it up there, you will see it dismissed and called simply a 'moral panic.' Unreal! I read on the website of one therapist who specializes in helping ritual abuse survivors, that she had repeatedly sent letters to wikipedia to correct its information, sending documents of the mounds of proof of the validity of ritual abuse, and of the rather dubious claims of the 'false memory' crowd, and what their real agenda is. ...But wikipedia doesn't want to hear the truth. ...Another reason to be skeptical of it as a source of objective information.

There are many websites out there, and some good books to read of survivor experiences, for those who want to research.
