She has had every test imaginable and there is still no explanation. I post this tonight because, I have never seen her as bad as it has been recently. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1360193Anyone heard of anything like this? Has an electrolyte imbalance been completely ruled out? That's one of the first things to look at anyway. |

The thought came up once a while ago but it was ruled out by doctors for whatever reason. Intriguing to hear you say it though. Is there anything I should be looking for that would support an electrolyte imbalance? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1370578 United States 05/04/2011 10:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry to hear of your girlfriend's seizures. :o( My 14 yr old dog began having seizures - vet couldn't find why. They began occurring more frequently and more and more severe. I looked online and found EaseSure by PetAlive. It WORKS !!! ZERO seizures going on one full year since I've had her on 6 drops a day twice a day in her morning and evening meals ! :o) There's a "human" equivalent, but it doesn't have as many herbs in it and seems to not be as effective according to the reviews I've read - go figure. Treat acute seizures and epilepsy [ put 3 - 5 drops in mouth during a seizure to shorten it ] Prevent seizures from occurring [ she never had another one after I began giving to her ] To limit after-effects of seizures such Drowsiness and clumsiness Prevent over-stimulation of the nervous system Lower high fevers associated with seizures Regulate blood pressure Ingredients are all natural - no known side effects although Passionflower can cause nausea, although extremely rare - one patient that I'm aware of in fact according to WebMD. Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower) is an herb used widely for anxiety and stress and is also useful for calming an overstimulated nervous system. In this way Passiflora is effective in both prevention and treatment of seizures, especially when stress is a precipitating factor, as is often the case with seizures. Scuttelaria laterifolia (Skullcap) is a well-known calmative and antispasmodic herb and will help to reduce over-stimulation that can lead to seizure occurrence. It is also helpful in lowering fever and regulating blood pressure, two further contributing precipitants of seizures in pets. Hyoscyamus (30C) is a homeopathic remedy valuable in the acute and long-term treatment of all seizures and tic disorders. Belladonna (30C) is also a homeopathic remedy well-known for its usefulness in seizure control, especially those seizures associated with high fever. Cuprum mettalicum (30C), another homeopathically prepared ingredient, controls seizures and addresses any associated mental dullness or vomiting. PetAlive EaseSure contains no gluten, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The down side : Expensive - $30 and above on Amazon.com, but traditional anti-seizure meds are probably a lot more expensive and can have serious side effects plus the drowsiness which EaseSure does not do. Taste - very bitter - but with food, esp. peanut butter, makes it more tolerable. It works - Google it - GREAT reviews - not hocus pocus home remedy snake oil - pets can't reason a sugar pill from real medicine - this stuff WORKS !!! Disclaimer - please ask your doctor before using. |

Obviously that doesn't usually happen in possession, its normally more of an extreme reaction but it was still very interesting. |

A doctor of Osteopathy looks at the body as a whole organism and not just individual parts. They will often be able to treat things an MD will not even find. [link to en.wikipedia.org] |
